Plagiarism
Plagiarism is stealing or passing off ideas of someone else without acknowledging them.
Plagiarism is a major issue in schools because kids can copy and paste things easily without
simply sighting what they're doing. Citing sources is a simple and easy process with only nine
elements.
The elements include:
1. Author
2. Title of source
3. Title of container
4. Other contributors
5. Version
6. Number
7. Publisher
8. Publication date
9. Location.
The first element is the Author. Start with the authors last name.
The Purdue OWL.
Then add a comma.
The Purdue OWL,.
Then the authors last name.
The Purdue OWL.
In this case there is no first or last name so there is no comma.
The second element is Title Of Source. Since this is the author for a website, this will be in
website format. All that needs to be done is to write the website in i talics.

.
The third element is the title of container which goes before the title of source this is also in
website format.

.
The fourth element is other contributors. Every other person that helped with whatever you're
citing is a contributor. So you would write all of their names down.

My thoughts on plagiarism are that it needs to be recognized by others who have done it and
are still doing it because they should stop taking credit from other peoples work and
information.
