Flu Facts
Symptoms: Fever, cough, sore throat, runny or
stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headaches
The flu may be contagious one day before
symptoms appear and five to seven days after.
Flu spreads by touching surfaces or objects with flu
virus on them or through contact with someone sic
with the flu.
Some populations are at a higher risk of serious flu
related complications, including, people 65 years and
older, pregnant women, young children and people
with certain chronic medical conditions such as
asthma, diabetes or heart disease.
The best way to prevent the flu is receiving a flu
vaccination each year.
