Blog Question 10: A single Man
To be honest, if I was not assigned to read this book in a Queer Studies
class then I wouldnt have assumed that this book was about a Gay man in
the 1960s. At first I was not so shock on how they story was going. For
instance, him being secretive over his identity but there were a few things
that did surprise me. It was sad that his lover Jim had died in a car crash but
to know that Dorris was a woman he was with was pretty shocking. When
he met Kenny at the end of the book, I believed something was going to
happen between them. I thought he had finally found his Jim but sadly,
nothing happened. George ended up helping Kenny out with the relationship
he was in. Overall, this book was good. I am not a big fan of reading. I can
only actually read a book if I am interested and I was.
