Lillie is experiencing hallucinations and hears voices telling her to take her medication. In a panicked state, she takes multiple pills. The opening sequence introduces Lillie, a woman in her 40s experiencing schizophrenia, through disjointed scenes showing her disturbed mental state. It's implied she was recently attacked and tied up in her home. Radio reports discuss a dangerous schizophrenic criminal, Tory Jackson, who has abilities to manipulate minds. Lillie continues experiencing terrifying visions and voices until swallowing her medication and blacking out, ending the unsettling opening.

EXT. LOW-KEY LIGHTING - DUSK - AN ABANDONED BUILDING IS
PRESENT IN THE BACKGROUND
MUSIC: Walking After Midnight
begins to play in the background. This will be an edited version so it sounds less vocal, focusing more on the surrounding echo of various notes. The location of the initial scene will not be established in detail; the antagonistic CLOWN will be, therefore, the main focus of the following shots. CLOWN: A SUIT WILL BE WORN, OR SOMETHING SIMILAR, TO CREATE AN UNUSUAL PAIRING. THE MAKEUP WILL BE VIBRANT AND ASSOCIATING TO A CLOWN CONNOTATION. CLOWN: looks up into the camera. Their eyes should initially be shut, but the CLOWN opens them to gaze into the camera. A smile - of which would typically exploit the audience of fear - will also be adopted. CLOWN: HOLDS A KNIFE FOR ICONOGRAPHY. THIS KNIFE WILL BE COVERED IN BLOOD FOR DRAMATIC AFFECT TO CONNOTE THE GENRE CONVENTIONS. MUSIC: continues playing Walking After Midnight. CLOWN: walks around in a spooky manner, this will be subjective to the actor but will include a variation between speeds and the look of instability. They will also be holding the knife in their right hand. MUSIC: laughter will begin to be played over Walking After Midnight to illustrate the hallucination aspect and make it appropriate of the horror hybridised genre. CLOWN: runs into the camera to cause a blackout. MUSIC: the giggling fades and the music becomes clearer. BLACKOUT TITLES: Current Day. Buckinghamshire. 6:47am
