Jennifer Rodrick 11/13/16 Exercise 3: A scene in another characters POV Towards the end of the book, there is a scene where George runs into a student at named Kenny at a bar. George first asks him a few questions and why he was at this bar and the student responds with, Oh, that was because one of the kids told me youre in here a lot. (Isherwood 151). George responding with him thinking Kenny came to see him but Kenny says he wanted to check out what kind of place it was. To me, Kenny thought something was up with George and decided to run into him on purpose. Kenny was making it seem as if it was just a coincidence but he knew George was constantly there. I think Kenny didnt believe their conversation was going to lead to the long night they had but I think the drinks had something to do with that. Kenny was thinking that George wasnt a bad guy and was just someone who needed a new friend. Kenny appreciated the advice that George gave him about his relationship with Lois. Although some comments from George may have been a little weird in a way, Kenny knew he was always coming from a good place and just wanted some company for the night. Overall, the night was good for both of them. Kenny may have thought that he was only going to be a small help to him. In the end, George did not continue with his suicidal thoughts and started heading to a better path.
