Adoption of the Revised COA Vision and Mission

Statements and Core Values

WHEREAS, the original COA Vision and Mission statements were

crafted and adopted, with some refinements, by the Commission Proper
(CP) under COA Resolution No. 95-001A dated January 5, 1995;
WHEREAS, in order to align with the thrusts, goals and strategies,
and action plans of the past leaderships of the Commission, the COA
Vision and Mission statements have undergone revisions which were
adopted under COA Resolution No. 2005-004 dated March 17, 2005 and
COA Resolution No. 2012-020 dated December 21, 2012;
WHEREAS, the present leadership of the Commission felt the need
to revisit the COA Vision and Mission statements to align these with the
major thrusts and action plans embodied in the COA Six-Year Strategic
Plan for the Calendar Years (CY) 2016-2022;
WHEREAS, the Assistant Commissioners' Group and all Directors
of the Commission held a workshop on November 30, 2015 to December
4, 2015 to draft the revised COA Vision and Mission statements, and Core
Values, in line with the COA Strategic Plan for CYs 2016-2022;
WHEREAS, after deliberation, the Assistant Commissioners' Group
recommended the adoption of the revised COA Vision and Mission
statements;
NOW, THEREFORE, the CP resolves, as it does hereby resolve, to
adopt the revised COA Vision and Mission statements, as follows:
VISION
A trustworthy, respected and
independent audit institution
that is an enabling partner of government
in ensuring a better life for every Filipino.

MISSION
To ensure accountability for public resources,
promote transparency, and help improve
government operations, in partnership with stakeholders,
for the benefit of the Filipino people.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the revised COA Vision and Mission
statements shall be disseminated immediately to all COA officials and
employees, and posted in conspicuous places in the building premises
and COA website at www.coa.gov.ph.
This Resolution shall take effect immediately.
