Known Issues
Resolution
If you already provision an Oracle Fusion Applications environment with only Financials
offerings, no workaround is available to resolve the issue.
If you plan to only provision Financials offerings, then make sure you also select one of the
SCM offerings (either product management, distributed order orchestration, or material
management and logistics) when you create the provisioning response file. This will ensure
that the SCM Ess Application is provisioned in the environment.

Known Issues
Resolution
1. Wait for 10 minutes after the error occurs.
2. Restart these managed servers in the Common Domain from WebLogic Admin Console:
UCM_server1 (in UCMCluster), WC_Spaces (FS_SPACECluster), and
search_server1 (SESCluster) using the Node Manager credentials that you entered in
the provisioning response file. You can find the URL for the Command Domain WebLogic
Admin Console (http://host:port/console) in the provisioning summary file (the
file name is provisioning.summary) located in the same place as the provisioning
response file. The following example shows what the entries in the provisioning summary
might look like:
Common Domain
Admin Server
Host: host_name
Managed Server Port: port_number
Admin Console
http://<host>:<port>/console
Enterprise Manager Welcome Page
http://<host>:<port>/em.
3. After all three affected managed servers are restarted, rerun the provisioning startup
phase.

Resolution
Before running the postconfigure phase, review the
%windir%/System32/drivers/etc/hosts file on the primordial host, and add the
following entry if it doesn't exist:
127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
Save the file and then start the postconfigure phase.
If the error still occurs, follow the resolution step above, and then run the cleanup and
restore postconfigure phases to retry.
22
Known Issues
No functional issue exists if you dont back up the content manually. You can continue with
the Startup phase.
Resolution
Refer to chapter 13.5.4 Performing a Manual Backup in the Oracle Fusion Applications
Installation Guide regarding how to perform manual backup after a provisioning phase.
Validate Phase
Validate Phase Failed with 'validatePolicyStore - BUILD_ERROR :
Error 1: the stripe webcenter doesn't exist in policy store' Error
If you only select one or any of these provisioning offerings: Incentive Compensation,
Enterprise Contracts, Oracle Fusion Accounting Hub, you will see an error message in the
provisioning log of the Common domain during the validate phase. The log looks like:
[2013-02-21 09:33:53 CST] Functional Setup : common-validateidstore-policystore validatePolicyStore - BUILD_ERROR : Error
1: the stripe webcetner doesn't exist in policy store
Resolution
This validation error can be ignored because the Webcenter Spaces server is not provisioned
if you only select one of these offerings, Incentive Compensation, Enterprise Contracts, Oracle
Fusion Accounting Hub. This error is caused by an incorrect validation.
If you select any other offerings, then the Webcenter Spaces server will be provisioned in
your environment. In this case, this error cannot be ignored and the error should be resolved
before concluding the provisioning process.
Resolution
1. For this processing to work correctly, perform a full reconciliation (RECON) immediately
after provisioning is complete.
23
Known Issues
2. Follow the procedure provided in the "Reconcile Users and Roles from the IDStore into
OIM" section in Oracle Fusion Applications Installation Guide 11g Release 7 (11.1.7) and
enable automatic incremental reconciliation processing.

Resolution
1. Navigate to the inventory location that you specified.
2. Run the following command to make the file executable:
chmod +x createCentralInventory.sh
27
Known Issues
Resolution
To clean up a provisioned environment before starting another cycle of provisioning:
Linux or UNIX
1. On each host, stop all Identity Management processes. To do this, you should restart the
host.
2. On each host, remove the contents of the directory LOCAL_Root.
3. Remove the contents of the directories IDMTOP and SHARED_CONFIG on shared
storage.
4. Drop the database schema using RCU.
When dropping the schema, ensure that you check the ODS schema because it is not
checked by default. IDM Provisioning will fail during the next run if you dont perform this
step correctly.
5. Rerun provisioning.
Resolution
During the Oracle Fusion Applications provisioning process, when using IDM with enterprise
deployment, select the check box for the secondary access server and enter the secondary
access server name in the IDM configuration details screen. Please note that if the
idmsetup.properties file is used to load IDM properties into Oracle Fusion Applications
provisioning screens, then idmsetup.properties will not contain the secondary access
server name. So select the check box for the secondary access server and enter the secondary
access server name in the IDM configuration details screen even though the load
idmsetup.properties file option is selected.
28
Known Issues
Resolution
Click the Cancel button to exit Oracle Fusion Applications RCU and proceed with the next step
of provisioning the Oracle Fusion Applications environment. The task that you are canceling is

statistics in the next database maintenance window.
Resolution
1. Sign in to the ODI console and select Master Repository.
2. From the topology navigator, select one of the following applicable physical agents:
FusionCrmOdiAgent
FusionHcmOdiAgent
FusionIcOdiAgent
FusionScmOdiAgent.
3. Right-click the agent and click Edit.
29
Known Issues
4. Update the host name and port number in the agent configuration with the internal load
balancer host and port for respective domain and click Save.
5. Repeat steps 2 through 4 for the other ODI agents.
6. Restart the ODI servers in the following domains, where applicable:
CRMDomain
SCMDomain
ICDomain
HCMDomain
Note: ODI is installed only in selected domains that need it depending on the
provisioning offerings that you have selected to provision. Agent configuration needs to
be corrected only if the ODI server is installed in the respective domain.
Resolution
Configure the provider URL for OKC_ESS_ODI_SCHEDULER using the following SQL query.
In the query replace ESS_SERVER_HOST and ESS_SERVER_PORT with the respective ESS
server host and port values in the CRM domain.
Update FUSION_ODI.SNP_ESS set provider_url=
't3://ESS_SERVER_HOST:ESS_SERVER_PORT'
where
ESS_NAME='OKC_ESS_ODI_SCHEDULER'
30
Known Issues
Resolution
To add a member to the group:
1. Use the ldapmodify command line tool. For example, to add
"cn=myuser1,cn=users,dc=mycompany,dc=com",
"cn=myuser1,cn=users,dc=mycompany,dc=com", and
"cn=myuser1,cn=users,dc=mycompany,dc=com" users to group
"cn=AdminGroup,cn=Groups,dc=mycompany,dc=com", create an LDIF file
with the following contents.
dn: cn=AdminGroup,cn=Groups,dc=mycompany,dc=com
changetype: modify
add: uniquemember
uniquemember: cn=myuser1,cn=users,dc=mycompany,dc=com
uniquemember: cn=myuser2,cn=users,dc=mycompany,dc=com
uniquemember: cn=myuser3,cn=users,dc=mycompany,dc=com
2. Set the ORACLE_HOME variable to:
IDM_ORACLE_HOME export ORACLE_HOME=IDM_ORACLE_HOME
before running this command:
$IDM_ORACLE_HOME/bin/ldapmodify -p <ovd_ldap_port#> -h
<ovd_host_name> -D cn=orcladmin -w <password> -f
<name_of_the_file_that_has_above_contents>
Alternatively, use any other third-party LDAP directory browser tool such as Jxplorer to apply
the change.
inds to
If you have not already disabled the Virtual Directory ACLs and anonymous binds to LDAP
ports, you can do them using the idmConfigTool.sh. Patch 14179564 (or a newer one) for
Oracle IDM Tools supports this feature.
Use the following command to disable:
idmConfigTool.sh -disableOVDAccessConfig
input_file=disableOVDAcces.prop
31
Known Issues
Create an input_file and update it with your Oracle Virtual Directory access details in this
format:
ovd.host: <OVD_HOST>
ovd.port: <OVD_ADMIN_PORT>
ovd.binddn: <OVD_BINDDN>
ovd.password: <OVD_PASSWORD>
ovd.ssl: <true/false>
Example:
ovd.host: <OVD_HOST>
ovd.port: <OVD_ADMIN_PORT>
ovd.binddn: <OVD_BINDDN>
ovd.password: <OVD_PASSWORD>
ovd.ssl: <true/false>
Ensure your OID and OVD servers are up and running.
Change to the IAM_ORACLE_HOME
Example:
Assuming this is a Linux 64-bit system and the IAM_ORACLE_HOME is /u01/oim/oim_home:
cd /u01/oim/oim_home
Run the idmConfigTool.sh command
Example:
idmConfigTool.sh -disableOVDAccessConfig input_file=disableOVDAcces.prop
Now the Oracle Virtual Directory ACLs and anonymous binds to LDAP ports are disabled.

Reporting on Flexfields
Oracle Fusion Transactional Business Intelligence (BI) supports reporting against Key,
Descriptive and Extensible flexfields. The flexfields need to be BI-enabled before they can be
exposed in Oracle Fusion Transactional BI presentation layer. For information about setting
up Oracle Fusion Transactional BI to report against flexfields and for a list of supported
flexfields, refer to the Oracle Fusion Transactional Business Intelligence Administrator's Guide.
Some key flexfields (KFF) are also supported in Oracle Fusion Transactional BI; other types of
flexfield cannot be reported on currently.

UI Skin
The Older Fusionfx Skin Has Been Replaced with Skyros
A new UI skin (Skyros) is available. It is applied by default to all applications on which you
have not used any custom UI skin. If you have applied a custom UI skin, continue to view it. If
you want to change it to the new UI skin, modify the profile option
FND_CSS_SKIN_FAMILY.
However, in scenarios in which you have applied a custom UI skin but reverted to the earlier
Oracle Fusion skin, the Skyros UI skin cannot be applied automatically during the update. You
will need to change the skin manually using the profile option.
Resolution
Create a new default skin based on the new Skyros CSS and continue with the necessary
customizations.

Configuring Searches Using Percentage Fields Displays Type of Percentage
incorrectly
When configuring a saved search or the regional search, you can specify search criteria to be
used. However, when you create a search using a percentage field, the display type of
percentage is not displayed correctly.
Resolution
When building searches with percentage fields, divide the percentage by 100 to calculate the
literal value that you should enter as a search criterion. For example, to correctly use 150% in
your saved search, enter 1.5.

To delete and re-create a seeded document sequence for the unique identifiers, navigate to
the document sequences setup task in Navigator > Tools > Setup and Maintenance. On the
Setup and Maintenance page, search for the task Manage Document Sequences. In the
Search Results section, select the task and click Go to Task to view and edit the task.
To delete and re-create a seeded document sequence:
1. In the Manage Document Sequences task, find the documents sequences by either
entering the Document Sequence Name provided in the table above, or search all
sequences available for an Application. To search, select the desired application in the
Application drop down. For example, select Opportunity Management for Opportunity
documents sequences; select Lead Management for Leads documents sequences.
2. Click on Search to see the document sequences available.
3. Drill to the details of the desired document sequence and copy the information to be used
when recreating the document sequence. You will need to copy the information exactly
as seeded for the following fields: Document Sequence Name, Application, Module, Type
= Automatic, Audit Table, (Object) Table, the assigned Category, and assignment method.
4. Click the Delete icon to delete the selected sequence.
5. Click the Create icon to create the replacement sequence with values copied in step 3
6. Set the Initial Value as required (e.g., 1,000,000)
7. Set the start date as today
8. Drill to the new document sequence details to enter the (object) Table information
9. Click the Save button to save the new document sequence.
10. Notice that Database Sequence under the sequence created is auto generated.
74
Known Issues
11. Assign the new document sequence to its Category in the Assignment section by either
pasting the category from Step 3, or by searching for the category.
12. Validate the newly specified initial value by creating a new object record (e.g. Lead) and
verifying the unique identifier generated (for example, Lead Number) corresponds to the
specified initial value.

For filenames that are incorrect, use the corrected filenames provided.
Large CSV File Cannot Be Selected When You Define Import Activity
When you select a CSV file of 89MB or greater as the input data file, a page refresh occurs.
This prevents you from creating an import activity.
Resolution
Split the input file into two or more smaller files and define the import activity for those files.
File Type Can Be Changed to Invalid Value
In the Create Import Activities wizard, you can select a file from the WebCenter Content
Server and then change the file type value to a nonmatching value. No error occurs.
Incomplete Error Message Logged for Invalid Date Format
When an error message is logged indicating that a value is invalid, it does not state that the
value is invalid due to a mismatch in the date format.
No Warning Generated When Previously Processed Import File Selected
When you use the WebCenter Content Server option and select a previously processed file
(processed=Y), the job is submitted without any issues and import is successful.
Default Value Not Assigned for Longtext Attributes
When you set a longtext extensible attribute with a default value as required, the default
value is not considered during bulk import when the longtext attribute is not mapped.
File Import and Export Link Is Not Displayed in Navigator
The File Import and Export link in Navigator is not displayed for some users.

Known Issues
Success Log File Not Generated for Import Activities That Include
Attachments
If you do not provide an attachment category value in the input file, then no success log is
generated.
Resolution

request was successfully submitted may be displayed even though the import was not
successfully submitted.
Success Log File Not Generated for Status Completed with Warnings
The success log is not generate when a warning is captured during a File-Based Data Import
activity.
Resolution

Actions Display Incorrectly
After a CSM import failure, if the same file is uploaded again for a CSM import, the CSM job
status and actions for the latest import submission are not displayed. Instead, values for the
previous import submitted are displayed.
Resolution
Do not attempt to import the same CSM jar if the import fails. Run a fresh export from source
and use the latest extract for a CSM reimport.

Resolution
Search criteria for percentage fields must not contain the percent (%) symbol, and you must
use the actual value without formatting it. For example, if you are searching for a percentage
value as 50%, enter .5 in the search field instead of entering 50. Entering 50 checks for
records having the percentage value of 5000.

Known Issues
Only Code Is Available for Custom Fixed Choice List Fields for
Reports Created Based on Standard Subject Areas for a Standard
Object
When a new fixed choice list is added to a standard object, standard subject areas display
only the meaning column using the label selected. In both new and edited custom subject
areas, the meaning of the new fixed choice list is displayed using the label; and the code is
available with the word Code appended to the label.
When an existing fixed choice list is edited on a standard object, the previous label is still
available on the code column and this is still available on standard subject areas. The edited
label is used for the meaning column. This means that if you use the same label on the edit,
no clear differentiation exists between the code and meaning other than the location in the
extension folder of the object.
Existing custom subject areas using the fixed choice list still have the old label. The code still
uses the old label; and the meaning has the old label with Meaning appended to it. When the
custom subject area is republished after the fixed choice list is edited, the code has the new
label with Code appended to it and the meaning uses the new label.
If an existing fixed choice list is in a custom subject area that is republished without the fixed
choice list being edited first, the field name instead of label appears. You can fix this by
editing and saving the Fixed Choice List.
Existing Fixed Choice Lists on standard objects that are not edited function as they did prior to
this enhancement. That is, no support exists for the meaning column outside of custom
subject areas.
Resolution
Edit the fixed choice list, resave it, and drop the meaning column into existing reports for the
meaning column to be displayed.

General Setup
Load Account Values and Hierarchies
After running the Load Account Values and Hierarchies process to load data from Oracle
Hyperion Data Relationship Management (DRM), perform the following:
1. Select Oracle Fusion Functional Setup Manager, Manage Account Hierarchies page.
2. Select Actions, Flatten.
3. Submit both the Column Flattening and Row Flattening processes to optimize parent-child
information.
Management Segment Label
When creating a chart of accounts structure, do not use the Management Segment label as
this is not supported for Oracle Fusion Applications 11g Release 8 (11.1.8).
103
Known Issues
You do not have access to values that are added to an account hierarchy as ranges if segment
value security is enabled. This occurs even if you have been granted access to those values.
Resolution
Add the values individually or use hierarchical operators instead of adding the values as a
range.
Calculation Manager
Browser Limitation
You are unable to drag and drop the components to create an allocation rule in the
Calculation Manager if you are using the Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome browsers. A
workaround exists (described below) for Mozilla Firefox.
Adobe Flash Player 10 or later is a required component. Upgrade your Adobe Flash Player if
the Calculation Manager stops responding after you upgrade your browser.
Resolution
Install a Firefox add-on to use Calculation Manager in Firefox:
1. Open Firefox and go to https://addons.mozilla.org/enUS/firefox/addon/remote-xul-manager/
2. Click the Add to Firefox button and select Remote XUL Manager.
3. Click the Install Now button.
4. Restart Firefox to complete installation.
5. On the Firefox menu, select Web Developer, Remote XUL Manager.
6. Click Add to enter the Hyperion workspace server https://<your machine
name>-bi.oracleads.com/workspace/. You can get this link by clicking Create
Allocation Rules.
7. Click OK, click Add, and then close the Remote XUL Manager by clicking the x in the upperright corner.
8. Restart Firefox to access Hyperion workspace or Calculation Manager.
Budgeting
Reload Budget Balances After R efresh Balance Process Is Run
You need to reload Budget balances after the Refresh Balance process is run.
Resolution
104
Known Issues
Before rebuilding cubes, back up your budget data and prepare to reload the data. Refer to
the following document for recommendations for backing up your budget data:
Steps for Loading Budget Data Using Smart View
You can find this document (ID 1405558.1) on My Oracle Support.
Financial Reporting and Analysis
Smart View Reports a nd Allocation Generation May End in Error After New
Hierarchies Are Published
In some situations, reports that are created in Oracle Hyperion Smart View may end in error
after new hierarchies are published. The same error may occur with allocation generation.
This happens if originally only one hierarchy was published, and then later additional
hierarchies are published to the cube. Adding a new hierarchy breaks the original hierarchy
references. You would then need to update the Allocation Rules and Smart View report
templates with the new reference.
Resolution
Initially, create two hierarchy versions that are identical and then, going forward, always keep
at least two versions published to the cube.
Oracle strongly recommends that you refer to the following best practices white paper for
maintaining hierarchies for financial reporting and allocation purposes:
Oracle Fusion General Ledger Hierarchies: Recommendations and Best Practices
You can find this document (ID 1520970.1) on My Oracle Support.
Oracle Fusion Financials Reporting Studio Installer Console Window
For end users installing the Oracle Fusion Financials Reporting Studio, the installer launches a
separate console window that continues to run for a brief time after the installation
completes the setup tasks. This is normal, expected, and applies to Oracle Hyperion Reporting
Studio installations in both the Oracle Fusion Applications and Enterprise Performance
Manager modes.
Journals
Limit on the Maximum Number of Journal Lines That Can Be Exported
When you are reviewing a journal, the maximum number of journal lines that you can export
to a spreadsheet is 500.
Resolution
To review the details of a journal larger than 500 lines, run the General Ledger Journals
Report for the journal batch.

Security on Chart of A ccounts Value Sets
New security policies do not take effect if the policies are defined after the ledger is created
and account hierarchies are published.
Resolution
Republish account hierarchies to the cube after enabling or disabling security on their chart of
account value sets.
Resolution
You may need to collapse one or more of the upper panes of Receivables system options to
display the lower panes.
For example, if you want to set the amount of information that the Oracle Fusion Receivables
application logs for the AutoInvoice functionality area, you may need to collapse the panes
containing Accounting, Transactions, and Transactions Delivery Using Email system options to

Data Masking
Configuration of data masking in the Oracle Fusion Applications environment requires
execution of the data masking script. In the Oracle Human Capital Management product
family environment, the index rebuild of index FUSION.EGP_ITEM_TEXT_TL_CTX1 is excluded
from the data masking script for performance and safety considerations.
Resolution
Manually rebuild the index after the script has been executed.
1. To rebuild FUSION.EGP_ITEM_TEXT_TL_CTX1, manually run one of the following DDL
commands:
alter index FUSION.EGP_ITEM_TEXT_TL_CTX1 rebuild parallel;
or
alter index FUSION.EGP_ITEM_TEXT_TL_CTX1 rebuild;
2. The first command builds the index with the parallel option. It achieves the same result as
the second command, but runs faster. (Actual performance varies depending on the size
of the index and the server configuration.)
Resolution
If you update the role hierarchy of an abstract or data role, then you must regenerate the role
to update its data security policies. For example, if you change the duties inherited by the
Human Resource Specialist job role that is inherited by the local HCM data role Human
Resource Specialist - Sales Division, you must regenerate the HCM data role.
To regenerate a role:
1. Open the Manage Data Role and Security Profiles page (Navigator, Setup and
Maintenance, Manage Data Role and Security Profiles).
109
Known Issues
2. On the Manage Data Role and Security Profiles page, search for the role to be
regenerated.
3. In the search results, select the role and click Assign.
4. On the Assign Data Role: Security Criteria page, click Review.
5. On the Assign Data Role: Review page, click Submit.
Repeat this procedure for each updated role. Updated roles must be regenerated after each
release upgrade of the Oracle Fusion Applications environment.
Resolution
Remove the Health and Safety Management Duty role from the Human Resources Application
Administration Duty and Human Capital Management Application Administrator roles.
Remove the Person View Duty role from the Payroll Element View Duty role.
1. Sign in as a user with the IT Security Manager job role.
2. In the Setup and Maintenance work area, search for the Manage Duties task.
3. Click Go to Task.
4. On the Authorization Management page, in the Search fields, leave Application Roles as
the object to search for, select hcm as in, enter Human Resources Application
Administration Duty as the search text, and click Go.
5. Double-click the Human Resources Application Administration Duty search result to open
it.
6. Select the Application Role Hierarchy tab, which displays the roles that are inherited by
this duty.
7. Select Health and Safety Management Duty and click Remove.
8. Return to the Search field, enter Payroll Element View Duty as the search text, and click

9. Double-click the Payroll Element View Duty search result to open it.
10. Select the Application Role Hierarchy tab, which displays the roles that are inherited by
this duty.
11. Select Person View Duty and click Remove.

Workforce Management
Increase Memory Allocated to WORKFORCEMGMTSERVER_1 to 2GB
The ready-to-use value of maximum heap memory allocated to the workforce management
cluster is not sufficient and may cause issues.
Resolution
If you are using Time and Labor and Absences, you need to increase the maximum memory
allocated to the Workforce Management cluster from 1200 MB to 2048 MB. To do this:
1. Locate the fusionapps_start_params.properties file in
APPLICATIONS_CONFIG/domains/<hostname>/HCMDomain/config/fusio
napps_start_params.properties, where <hostname> is the host where you
placed the HCM domain and the Workforce Management cluster. If you enable local
applications configuration, then the file is located in
APPLICATIONS_LOCAL_CONFIG/domains/<hostname>/HCMDomain/config
/fusionapps_start_params.properties.
2. Save a copy of the fusionapps_start_oarams.properties file to
fusionapps_start_oarams.properties.orig.
3. Edit fusionapps_start_oarams.properties by replacing:
fusion.HCMDomain.WorkforceMgmtCluster.default.minmaxmemory.ma
in=-Xms64m -Xmx1200m
With:
fusion.HCMDomain.WorkforceMgmtCluster.default.minmaxmemory.ma
in=-Xms64m Xmx2048m

Project Execution Role Required for Resource Assignment Approval
Workflow
This issue affects Oracle Fusion Project Resource Management and Oracle Fusion Project
Management.
When a resource manager submits a proposed resource to fulfill a project resource request,
the application sends a workflow notification to the project manager for approval. If the
resource manager has only the Resource Manager enterprise role, and does not have the
Project Execution enterprise role, then the proposed resource cannot be approved or
rejected from the e-mail workflow notification or worklist. The resource manager must have
the Project Execution enterprise role to enable a user to approve or reject a proposed
resource in the workflow notification or worklist.
117
Known Issues
Resolution
The project manager can approve a proposed resource from the Manage Project Resource
Requests page.
To authorize users to approve a proposed resource from an e-mail notification or worklist,
the project application administrator can perform either of the following tasks:
1. Add the Project Execution enterprise role to all resource managers.
2. Add the privilege PJR_APPROVE_PROJECT_RESOURCE_FOR_PROJECT_ASSIGNMENT_PRIV
to the Resource Manager enterprise role.
Resolution
Provide the following privileges for users to process and review only commitment
transactions and not actual cost transactions:
PJC_RUN_PROCESS_PROJECT_COMMITMENT_TRANSACTIONS_PROCESS_PRIV
PJC_VIEW_PROJECT_COMMITMENT_TRANSACTIONS_PRIV
PJC_VIEW_PROJECT_COMMITMENT_TRANSACTIONS_DATA
Alternatively, remove the commitment-related task flows from the following privileges for
users to process and review only actual cost transactions:
PJC_RUN_IMPORT_AND_PROCESS_PROJECT_COST_TRANSACTIONS_PROCESS
PJC_MANAGE_PROJECT_EXPENDITURE_ITEM
118
Known Issues
Resolution
View the error messages and details for rows with a status of Insert Failed. Modify the

Resolution
Perform these steps if you are upgrading to an 11g Release 8 (11.1.8) environment and you
havent performed the steps in 11g Release 7 (11.1.7).
To enable access to Oracle Fusion Project Portfolio Management functionality:
1. Create an enterprise role.
2. Grant the Mobile Applications Access duty to the role.
3. Grant the role as required.
Resolution
Use the Manage Project Plan page to perform the required actions. Use the Review Project
Progress page to review your changes.

Intraclass or Interclass Unit of Measure Conversions
Errors occur when you attempt to import intraclass or interclass unit-of-measure (UOM)
conversions for items as part of the initial UOM creation through import. The import services
for UOM do not create items as part of the import and reject the conversion information for
any item.
Resolution
Use the user interface to safely create UOM data. However, if services are used to import the
UOM data, you must:
1. Import and create UOM records without conversion data.

configured with SSL server authentication mode.
For connections to the server to succeed, a trust certificate must be downloaded from the
Oracle Internet Directory Server and installed in an Oracle SSL wallet.
To create the wallet with the trust certificate, run the following command as described in
Section 14.4.3 Validating SSL Connectivity:
./SSLClientConfig.sh -component cacert

Defining Custom Packages, Procedures, and Messages
for Running Custom Validation Logic Against
Contracts
You can run custom validation logic against contracts with the seeded validation logic prior to
sending a contract for approval. The standard contract validation process checks for any
custom validation that has been set up. Custom packages, procedures, and messages need to
be defined first. The following setup steps are missing from the Oracle Sales Cloud
Implementing Enterprise Contracts guide:
1. Create the custom package in the fusion_dynamic schema only.
2. To prevent object does not exist compilation errors, identify all fusion objects to be
queried and give grants on those objects before creating the custom package, for
example:
GRANT SELECT ON okc_validate_contract_t TO fusion_dynamic;
GRANT INSERT ON okc_validate_contract_t TO fusion_dynamic;
GRANT SELECT ON okc_k_headers_all_b TO fusion_dynamic;
3. Sign in as the fusion user and create the custom package using the API
ADM_DDL.DO_DDL(l_stmt). It must be set up as follows:
Package : OKC_CUSTOM_VALIDATION_DYD
Procedure : CUSTOM_VALIDATIONS
Paramaters :

warning into okc_validate_contract_t
4. Define custom validation messages in FND_MESSAGES, under the product OKC and
named with the prefix OKC_CUSTOM_.
5. Add custom validation logic to the procedure
OKC_CUSTOM_VALIDATION_DYD.CUSTOM_VALIDATIONS. See the following
sample code:

account on the Accounts Contacts page, you can select the associated relationships using the
Customer Relationship LOV.
139
Known Issues
Resolution
Use the Contact UI to view, create, and edit B2C contacts. Similarly, in the Simplified UI, use
the Contact menu item to view, create, and edit B2C contacts.
If you haven't used B2C contacts, then this new behavior will not affect you. If you have been
using B2C contacts (Consumer) in Release 7, you must review the new behavior in the
product to ensure that any configuration, extensibility, or similar changes are performed
before rolling out Release 8 to business users.

Relationship Heatmap Reports Removed from BI
Catalog and Customer Center Snapshot Node
The following heatmap reports were removed from the BI catalog for this release and are not
available for this release:
Relationship Heatamp
My Relationship Heatmap
The embedded relationship heatmap report was also removed from the snapshot node in the
customer profile of the Customer Center classic UI.

Deploy the Oracle ADF Desktop Integration Runtime Add-in for Excel client on a web server or
shared network that is accessible to users from their respective computers. You should
ensure that users always get the latest client, which coincides with the server version. You
can use the Manage Menu Customizations task in the Setup and Maintenance work area to
make the installer available to users from the Navigator menu.
For details and instructions, see Deploying Oracle ADF Desktop Integration Client: Procedures
in the Oracle Fusion Applications Post-Installation Guide.
141
Known Issues
Resolution
1. Sign in as an administrative user.
2. Open the Setup and Maintenance work area (Navigator, Tools, Setup and Maintenance).
3. Go to the Manage Administrator Profile Option Values task.
4. Find and select the Mapping Service for Contextual Addresses
(ATK_CONTEXT_ADDRESS_MAP_OPTION profile option.
5. In the Profile Value column in the Profile Values table, enter one of the following values,
or enter your own alternative value for a map service:
http://maps.google.com/maps?output=embed&q=
http://maps.yahoo.com/maps_result.php?q1=
http://maps.live.com/default.aspx?where1=
http://bing.com/maps/?v=2&encType=1&where1=
Alternatively, add a parameter to the address. For example, to avoid a locator box in
Google Maps, add &iwloc=& to the value:
http://maps.google.com/maps?iwloc=&&output=embed&q=
Test the setup by clicking the orange contextual action icon for an address, for example, in
the Collections or Shipments work area.
142
Known Issues
Resolution
Perform the following steps to regenerate your reporting hierarchy:
1. From Navigator, click Resource Directory.
2. From the Tasks pane, click View Organization Hierarchies.
3. Ensure that the Status is set to Active, and click Search.
4. From the Search Results list, select the organization hierarchy.
5. In the View Organization Hierarchy page, click the Action drop-down, and select Edit This
Hierarchy Version.
6. Click Save and Close. This action triggers the process to regenerate the hierarchy.
Note: If you upgraded to Release 8, patch bundle 6, then you must manually trigger
the process to regenerate your reporting hierarchy. If not, you may encounter errors
when updating your territory proposals. However, for Release 8, patch bundle 7 onwards,
this process is triggered automatically.
If a resource was not associated with a resource role in a resource organization in Release
7, the upgrade process assigns the Sales Representative Resource Role to that resource in
the resource organization, with a start date corresponding to the Sysdate. If Sales Rep
does not exist, it is assigned another existing non-manager role.

Known Issues
User Assistance
Oracle Fusion Applications Help
You can access Oracle Fusion Applications Help for the current page, section, activity, or task
by clicking the help icon. The following figure depicts the help icon.
You can add custom help files to replace or supplement the provided content. Each release
update includes new help content to ensure that you have access to the latest information.
Patching does not affect your custom help content.
