allows her identity to remain a mystery.

Close-up
The use of a close up allows the audience to focus on the object in the shot; a knife. It shows
clearly that this is a key factor within the thriller
Again the close-up means a focus on the actions of the character and the objects can be established
by the audience.

This mid shot with reveal Chloe, the protagonist walking towards the shower; however this shot is
slightly blurred. This would help to maintain a hidden identity atmosphere. We have decided that a
title would be placed here as it is very convenient. Again this shows the audience that she has a
very ordinary routine.
This shot would exemplify the protagonist unbuttoning her white shirt. Throughout our production

This shot would illustrate Chloe removing a makeup wipe from the packet in slow motion. The
reason for this is just to emphasis her routine and make out that she is an ordinary character within
our production.
This shot will display the action of Chloe wiping her mouth aggressively, taking off the majority of
her red lipstick. The way her lipstick smudges would generate some submissive connotations such
as danger and death.
This will show Chloe throwing the wipe on the floor as she is now done with removing her
remaining makeup. The act of her just throwing it instead of directly putting it in the bin insinuates
that she is may be laid back.

we will try to maintain the fact that her identity is hidden, the reason for this is because we would
like the viewers to become disoriented and unaware of who this character maybe.
Mid shot
This next shot would make it obvious that her shirt is now on the floor as it has dropped behind
her. At this point we are just able to see the back of her feet in front of the shower. Her identity is
still yet to be discovered at this point in time.
This shot will now present Chloe getting into the shower; this will be shown by using just her feet
as she steps in. I believe that using Chloes feet is a great way to make the audience eager about
who she is and what she does.

This close up will exaggerate the process of the protagonist getting in the shower and will let the
viewers see that she has now turned it on and is ready to shower.
Unexpectedly, as she begins to shower, the audience will start to notice blood draining down. This
will confirm that she is actually trying to wash all the blood away, discarding any unwanted
evidence that may be used against her.

This shot will indicate that there is a title on it. The title will be written on the glass of the shower
using the condensation. We believe this is a unique way to add a title because it fits with the
narrative.
This close up emphasises Chloe getting her towel, she snatches the towel rapidly off the radiator.
This quick motion highlights the atmosphere of this opening as its all very fast paced.

Extreme
close-up
The extreme close-up that is offered allows the audience to feel uncomfortable as she blots her
face with the towel. The reason for this to be an extreme close-up is to accentuate the idea of
suffocation; this is what we expect to be connoted.

Mid
shot/close-up
This shot highlights Chloe putting on her white dressing gown after she dried herself. After that
she then rapidly ties the strand together in an aggressive manner. This would also have submissive
connotation such as tying up people. The white however, juxtapose her intentions.
This next shot would be a tracking shot of the central characters feet as she paces down the
corridor. Again, this is an effective way to show her travelling around her home, like a regular
person. Instead of a tedious shot of her actually walking down the corridor.

This shot is of Chloes back as she is sat on a chair. The audience still havent got the opportunity
to see her face; this reiterates how her concealed identity is a significant aspect throughout the
short film.
This shot will denote Chloe painting her nails and as she begins to do so she flicks the red nail
paint making it look like blood splatters. The red will connote endangerment and death.
This is where we as a group have decided to locate another title/ we believe this will be an

This shot will show the protagonist quickly running down the stairs for a few seconds to create the
idea of her moving to several places around her home. The running will be done is fast paced to
associate with the atmospheric element of this short film.
At this moment Chloe has entered the kitchen. This would show again how she in a different room
to make the audience more interested of where shes going. We made sure that Chloe is denoted in
numerous different rooms around the house so it does not become tiresome to watch.
This shot will indicate Chloe turning on the radio. This will inform the audience about whats
going on in the narrative and able them to understand it much further.

Here, Chloe will be in the process of making her tea. This is another simple routine that normal
people do. The reason we introduce many ordinary elements within our production is to juxtapose
with her true persona.

Close-up
This shot will insinuate that the protagonist has heard the announcement/ news on the radio. This
will be evident through the use of facial expressions. The audience will then become attentive of
the intentions of this character.
This shot will be a close-up of Chloe sipping her tea fairly slowly, to reinstate her calm and
collective temperament.
The doorbell will ring as a blurred figure will be denoted. This will make the audience feel weary
and uneasy. This is something we want to represent within our production.

A long shot of Chloe will be directed as she walks closer towards the front door. We hope at this
point, suspense and tension are what the viewers are feeling.
The door opens and Natasha appears. This is where the audience will become frightened due to
Natashas arrival. The mid shot will present Natasha to be outside, which would assume that
people could have also seen her in this state.

This mid shot (Birds eye view) will be where another title is positioned. This is going to be the title

represent the way the audience view this opening.
