Approval to implement action project under ADAPT-SL at Manabharanagama,

Moneragala

With reference to the internal memorandum approved on 28th October 2016, I wish to inform
you that Sri Parakum Farmer Organization is registered under Irrigation Management
Division of Ministry of Irrigation and Water Resources (Reg. IM22/05/05). Therefore, as
stipulated in the Procurement Guideline Reference: 3.9.1 direct contracting to the registered
Community Based Organizations is possible. In addition to that NBRO will sign tripartite
Memorandum of Understanding with Sri Parakum Farmer Organization and Irrigation
Management Division of Muthukadniya Irrigation Project. Finally CRU will submit a
progress report on impacts received by the farming community due to this intervention.
Hence, your kind approval is sought to release LKR 329,420 in favor of Sri Parakum Farmer
Organization.
