PROGRAMS

AISD offers an array of programs

beginning at the age of 3.
Programs are offered at a variety of
campuses.
Programs are offered free of charge.

PRESCHOOL PROGRAM FOR

CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES

PPCD is a program for children from

ages 3 6.
PPCD is offered part time and full
time.
Two PPCD teachers at Baldwin.

SPEECH LANGUAGE SERVICES

Speech/Language therapy is for children who
meet eligibility beginning at age 3.
Speech/Language services are offered to
school age and pre-school students.
Speech/Language services include:
articulation, language, fluency and voice.

INCLUSION
Services are available within the classroom.
A teacher or teacher assistant may provide this
service.
Often considered before other services as it is
provided in the Least Restrictive Environment.

RESOURCE

Services are provided outside of the

general education classroom.
May be offered in schedule units from 30
minutes to all day.
Resource services address prescriptive skill
deficits.

SCORES
Social Communication Resources and Services
Based on student needs in the areas of
academics and social communication. This is
determined by the ARD committee.
Service schedules are based on student need.
