GROUP PROJECT

The group project is one of the most important learning tools of the course. Project shall be a relevant,
interactive real life project which requires application of project management knowledge tools and
techniques to achieve its objectives. The project shall be identified by the group itself on the basis of group
consensus. Project Group is expected to work as a Project Team. The project choice is flexible and can
consist of options as diverse as construction project, new product development project, IT project, facility
expansion project, HR organizational restructuring project, a banking service implementation project, event
management project etc to name a few. Suitable assumptions are to be made when defining and
documenting the various details of the said project.

data from external sources or generate it itself based on inputs from commercial databases
and/or other external sources)

Ground Rules

All documents generated as part of group project should be precise, to the point and rich in
content.

PMBOK 5th edition guidelines to be followed in writing various project documents.

For developing project schedule, MS- Project Management Software is recommended.

Grading of the report will be done on the strength of the content, analysis and explanation therein.

Please incorporate diagrams wherever required.

Please follow the relevant student guidelines in terms of report submission.

Presentation

Each presentation will be of 20 minutes with 12 minutes given to the group to highlight the key
findings and 8 minutes for open discussion with the students.
