THE EVOLUTION OF PHILIPPINE GOVERNMENT

1521- The history of the Philippine government

began with the arrival of Ferdinand Magellan.
1565- The permanent settlement was established
with the expedition of Miguel Lopez de Legaspi, beginning
an era of Spanish colonization.
1896- The Philippine revolution against Spanish
began, culminating two years later with the proclamation
of independence and establishment of the First Philippine
Republic.
1898- The Treaty of Paris, at the end of SpanishAmerican war transferred control of the Philippines to the
United States.
1935-The Philippines under the United States.
1946-The Philippines was granted full independence.
1972-President Ferdinand Marcos declared Martial
Law due to the rise of student activism and civil unrest.
1986-EDSA revolution brought about the ouster of
Marcos and the return of democracy for the country.

And he started laughing like a monster. I got so scared. I know how powerful his family was,
