Tell Tale Heart

In the short story Tell Tale Heart, the author created suspense in the
scene where the narrator describes his plan to murder the old man and
how he watched the old man sleep for 8 night. For example, Poe uses the
technique of vivid words in the scene where the narrator was moving in the
old mans house. The narrator said I moved it slowly very very slowly, so
that I might not disturb the old mans sleep.(82-84) We didnt know that the
narrator was the murder because he explained himself like he was just
stalking the old man. The narrator describe himself has him being so
careful because he wanted to do it just right.It shows suspense because
the narrator doent know if the old men will wake up while he was in the
house. Poe also used the technique when the narrator was anxiety when
the police came came to the old mans house. The narrator said, I gasp
for breath and yet the officers heard it not.I talked more quickly, more
vehemently but the noise steadily increased.( 87) we didnt know if the
narrator would get caught because he shows a lot of anxiety when the cops
were talking to each other. After that, the narrator felt that the police knew
that he killed the old man. During the whole time the police were in the
house the narrator started to feel like he couldnt breathing and everything
is closing in. In conclusion, Poe creates an intense feeling of suspense in
