Merry Christmas!

We hope that you are enjoying this most wonderful time of the year. We wish you a very merry Christmas!!
The Nelson year in review...

Jordan & Bethany

Jordan and Bethany have had an exciting year. The highlight came this summer when they found out they are expecting their first
child, a son, in March '15! After being told that getting pregnant may prove difficult, God chose to work a miracle! Jordan still works
at Midwest Insurance Group as an independent agent in Mankato and enjoys hunting and working on their unfinished basement.
Bethany continues to teach first grade at Rosa Parks Elementary and has been decorating the nursery, gardening, and canning.

Petra
Soon after graduating from college one year ago, Petra was offered a third grade long-term sub position from January through June
at Bridges in Mankato. The blessings continued when she accepted a Kindergarten teaching position in Watertown, MN beginning
this past fall. She and her dog, Molly, have moved to an apartment in St. Bonifacius. Petra accomplished a goal of running the Twin
Cities Marathon; 26.2 miles! She enjoyed her first flight alone to Florida to visit a friend and loves to read, play piano, and knit.

Ashton
Ashton is in her third year at BLC with plans to graduate one year from now. She is a Communication major with an Intercultural
Communication emphasis. Last spring, she carried the flag at the graduation ceremony; an honor given to the top Junior
communication student. During the school year, Ashton is a supervising caller for the college and a nanny, and during the summer,
she is a CNA at the nursing home. She enjoys photography and has recently began learning to play the guitar.

Daniel
Our 6'3" Senior has just completed his final Cross Country season. He was voted Most Improved and Team Player by his teammates.
Daniel works at Pop'd Kerns and also as a CNA. He enjoys hunting, snowmobiling, and playing guitar on the youth worship team at
church. He went to Kentucky with FFA but the highlight of Daniel's year was a mission trip to Greece with Mike and a team from our
church where they worked at a center that helped refugees that fled their country because of religious persecution.

Mike & Kelly

This summer, our family rented a cabin for a week in northern MN. It was such a fun and relaxing time together! In addition to
Mike's mission trip to Greece with Daniel, we had business trips to Florida, Utah, and Arizona. Because Mike was coaching Cross
Country, he wasn't able to attend our meetings in AZ, so I took my mom with me. It was a fun trip staying at a nice resort and
visiting her friends and family. Mike spent the summer tearing down an old house on a property we own and also ran his 10th
marathon. This fall, my husband with no previous political aspirations, shocked me when he said he felt led to run for Mayor of
Mountain Lake. He obeyed that leading and, not so surprising when God has His hand in it, Mike will take office on January 5. You
can pray for him as we ask God to bless his obedience.
Thank you for being a special part of our lives. We appreciate you. We hope that this Christmas season finds you well, loved, and
full of joy. We pray that God would bless you in amazing ways and that you discover the life that is available to you through
receiving His gift of redemption and putting your trust in His saving grace. Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year!!

Love, the Nelsons
