CHEMICAL PROCESS CONTROL

CPE 562
LAB REPORT 1,2,3 AND 4

NAME:MOHAMMAD AMMAR BIN RAJAB

STUDENT ID:2014894526
CLASS:EH2415B
LECTURER: EN ABDUL AZIZ BIN ISHAK

LAB 1
Effect of controller gain

PIDs value : I = 0.01 and D = 0.

P = 0.05
P2 = 0.10
P3 = 0.15

COMMENT: In this lab we change the value of P(propotional). The proportional term
produces an output value that is proportional to the current error value. The first value of
P was 0.05 , it take approximately 200 (time) in order for the value to be stable at 1.
Second P was 0.1 and it take approximately 300 (time) for the graph o be stable. And
lastly P was 0.15 and it take almost 400(time) it take for the value to be stable. As
conclusion the higher the value of P the longer it take to stable the graph or value.

LAB 2
Effect of integral time

PIDs value

: P = 0.05 and D = 0.

I = 0.01
I2 = 0.04
I3 = 0.08

Comment: In this lab we change the value of I(integral term).

The integral in a PID

controller is the sum of the instantaneous error over time and gives the accumulated offset that
should have been corrected previously. The first value of P was 0.05 , it take approximately

200 (time) in order for the value to be stable at 1. Second P was 0.1 and it take
approximately 300 (time) for the graph o be stable. And lastly P was 0.15 and it take
almost 400(time) it take for the value to be stable. As conclusion the higher the value of
P the longer it take to stable the graph or value.

LAB 3
Effect of derivative time

PIDs value : P = 0.05 and I = 0.01.

D=1
D2 = 2
D3 = 3

LAB 4
Effect of dead time

PIDs value : P = 0.2, I = 0.01 and D = 0

Time Delay :

Data 1 = 9
Data 2 = 7
Data 3 = 5
