November 15, 2016 ‘To Whom It May Concern: Tam writing this recommendation for Jillian Dziewisz. a senior BSN student who I am having the pleasure of instructing this semester in a Community Health Course. She will graduate in December, 2016. During the clinical experience | assign the students to nine different community areas. They work ‘one day with an RN clinical mentor at each of these sites. They spend a day at the Migrant Camp, Public Health Department, Free Medical Clinic, Blue Ridge Hospice In-Patient Unit and Blue Ridge Hospice Home Visits with a Hospice Nurse, Daniel Morgan Middle School, Handley High School, Wilkins Wellness Center at the University, and one day with me in my Parish Nurse Office at Christ Ey Church. pal At the end of the day I get a report from each clinical mentor as to the ability of the student. All have commented on Jillian’s interest in the people she meets, her ability to listen effectively, her excellent assessment skills, her non-judgmental attitude toward alt with whom she works, and her ability to take her theoretical knowledge and use it within the clinical area. One patient commented that she was the most ‘outstanding student this semester. During her time at Shenandoah University she has been active with the SNA. She has been a valuable member of that organization. Each student is assigned a person to visit in the home and her lady has been visited several times already in the semester. She is very able to judge what the lady needs and how much time to spend. She seems to be enjoying this experience. I want the students to be out of their comfort zone in a hospital and have to adapt to whatever the family needs. Her written work both for clinical experiences and her home visits is excellent. She is able to express herself well. People see her love of others when they meet her. I would consider your agency to be fortunate if Jillian would accept employment with you. Thank you for reading this and if I can answer any questions, please feel free to call me at 1-540-327-4511 or my private e-mail at Ipnbutterfly@comeast.net. Sincerely, wu Sebo Helen H.
