One Day Seminar on

"Machine Vision Application for Smart Factory"

on 30/10/2013 organized by Department of CSE
Under TEQIP-II SC 1.2

OBJECTIVE:
Machine vision (MV) is the technology and methods used to provide imaging-based automatic
inspection and analysis for such applications as automatic inspection, process control, and robot
guidance in industry. The machine vision system can consist of a number of cameras all capturing,
interpreting and signalling individually with a control system related to some pre-determined tolerance
or requirement. This is a new area of research and relevant to current industry needs. The faculty and
students from CSE, IT, ECE, EIE, ME and EEE can be benefitted from this seminar by knowing the
concepts of Machine Vision from a person who is working for the past 30 years in this area.

Resource Person
Dr. Pinnamaneni Bhanu Prasad,
Professor, Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Chennai
Machine Vision Specialist, Matrix Vision GmbH, Germany

About TEQIP-II SC 1.2

As per TEQIP design, each phase is required to be designed on the basis of lessons learnt from the
implementation of an earlier phase. TEQIP-I started a reform process in 127 Institutions. The reform
process needs to be sustained and scaled-up for embedding gains in the system and taking the
transformation to a higher level. To continue the development activities initiated through TEQIP-I, a
sequel Project is planned as TEQIP-II.

Organized by:
Department of Computer Science & Engineering,
VR Siddhartha Engineering College, Vijayawada, India
