District Leadership
Conference
DLC is an amazing opportunity to learn
more about Key Club, the opportunities it
holds, the Kiwanis Family, along with
meeting new people from around the state!
I attended my first DLC last year, and it
truly altered my perspectives. So much happens over that weekend,
that it is hard to realize how it will end up eecting you. I strongly
encourage everyone to attend this year, and if financial expense is
limiting your abilities, TALK TO YOUR CHARTERING
KIWANIS CLUB. They are more than willing to help you go, I
promise! Theres nothing better than Kiwanis Family interaction in
supporting one another. DLC17 is to be held in Muncie March 31stApril 2nd, so make sure to mark your calendars!

Key Club Week

This past Key Club Week,
November 7th through the 11th,
had a very inspiring outcome. I
saw Kiwanis Family interaction,
along with good deeds being
spread in general! I hope our
division can be much more
interconnected for next years
Key Club Week, and then a large
event can be planned for the
occasion!

Key Leader Review

Our division, is only one of 24 in the Indiana District. The
weekend of November 4th6th, IN at Camp Tecumseh in
Brookston, Indiana held the
annual INKCI Key Leader
event where members from all
around the state come
together to build leadership in
service. It was my, along with
so many others, first time
attending, and it was amazing!
The experience is hard to
explain in words, although,
humbling sure does come to mind. Special thanks to Plymouth
Kiwanis Club and Indiana Kiwanis District for helping myself
along with so many others attend that weekend. Key Leader is
the best route to becoming a servant leader.

Division Wide Projects

For my first division wide project, I would like
each school to help collect gently used shoes
for the Soles 4 Souls organization! My goal for

our division is to collect at least 2000 pairs

of shoes, if not more. Soles 4 Souls is
focussed towards ending extreme poverty,
and properly clothing the ones in need is a
great start! Once we have reached the end of
collection, I will pick up all the donations and
they will be taken to the nearest drop o,
Cincinnati, OH.
In the second half of my term, I would like to
initiate fundraising for the Heifer International
foundation. The idea behind this project is to supply
the hungry, and impoverished, of the world with
livestock that will keep feeding them throughout the
year. My goal is to have each school raise enough to
send a goat, heifer, and a water bualo [$870]. Their
site lists many ways on how to raise money for our
group donation, but I can also
supply you with ideas!
