This is not only a chance for musical performances but also provide a multiple
cultural environment for the participant's experience. We aim to build up their
musicianship by interacting with other participants of all ages and developing
communication skills. friendliness.
The participants are all certified with gold. silver. and bronze prizes which are
examined by our reliable adjustors.
CATEGORIES s
SOLOIDUET
Participants may showcase their talents in any genre of performing arts e.g. Dance.
singing. playing an instrument (western and ethnic! etc. The performance must not
exceed 5 minutes.
TRIOIQUARTET
Participants may showcase their talents in any genre of performing arts e.g. Dance.
singing. playing instruments (western and ethnic! etc. The performance must not
exceed 5 minutes.
SMALL GROUP
Small group may consist of 5 to 12 performers. The group may showcase their
talents in any genre of performing arts e.g. Dance ensemble. Instrument ensemble.
Drama group. Acapella group or Show choir etc. There are no set repertoire require
ments. The performance must not exceed 5 minute:
LARGE GROUP.
Large groups may consist of 13 or more performers. The group may showcase their
talents in any genre of performing arts e.g. Dance ensemble. Band. Chinese orches-
tra. Drama group or Choir etc. There are no set repertoire requirements but an}

MR. ADRIAN TAN
Artistic Director
Singaporean conductor Adrian Tan has established a reputation as one of
the leading conductors of his generation. As the Music Director of the
Singapore Wind Symphony and the Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra
since 2012. he has been recognized for his dynamic leadership. innovative
programming. impactful community outreach initiatives and passionate
advocacy for new music. especially on the behalf of Singaporean compos~
ers. In 2014, he was named Music Director of the Saigon Philharmonic
Orchestra in Ho Chi Minh City. Vietnam and also became one of the
founders of the Musicians Guild of Singapore whose mission is to promote
the professional interests of working musicians.Graduating with honours in
Theatre Studies from the National University of Singapore. he dedicated
the first decade of his professional life to the Republic of Singapore Navy
where he served as a Naval Officer whilst pursuing his passion for the arts
as an amateur theatre directorlproducer and a conductor of community
musical ensembles. His conducting teachers include Harold Farberman.
Robert Gutter. Ovidiu Balan. Jan Cober, Neil McEwan, Gunther Herbig
and Tsung Yeh. As a recipient of the NAC Overseas Scholarship in 2009.
he attended the Sydney Conservatorium of Music for postgraduate studies
in conducting with Imre Pallo and Apo Hsu who would become his most
important professional mentors.
