Following a fatal accident Ken lies almost fully


paralysed in hospital. Medical staff are committed
in keeping him alive. But Ken claims he has the
right to die.
So what does the law say?

Definition of Journey

Techniques:
- language: Ken's intelligence, jokes, cheekiness
and wit even after his accident.
- Depression: Ken's fits of rage and pessimism
come from disconnection from people he used to
know and remembering the past before his
accident, he hasn't fully accepted his condition.
- Epiphany: " I have coolly and calmly thought it
out and I have decided that I would rather not go
on. I therefore want to be discharged to die." Ken has a realization that he does not want to
live.

is more Emotional and Mental journey than
anything else.
Ken is almost fully paralysed and made the
decision that he wants to be discharged to die, for
him to have this massive accident, be stuck in
hospital for the rest of his life than calmly make
the decision to die quietly with dignity was a
massive journey for him mentally and a journey
for all his emotions.

Mental Journey- He decides that he finally
dosent want to live anymore
Emotional Journey - He was neglected and
not treated as a normal human being

Relational Journey- He made some new


friends in the hospital during his time (John,
sister, nurse)

along the way though they also have a journey of
finding themselves, realising who they really are
and what future they have.
