Treasures of SOCCSKSARGEN Regional Convergence of

Agencies produces P13.5 M Total Sales
The third Treasures of SOCCSKSARGEN which showcased the best of
Region 12s products held at SM City General Santos from November 16-20,
2016, generated a total of P13.5 Million Sales. This is according to Leonard V.
Flores, Chief of DTI 12s Industry Development Division during the events
closing program held last November 20. Total Sales is based on the generated
total Cash Sales of more than PHP 1M, booked sales of PHP.951M, and an
under negotiated sale of P11.3 M. Traffic count is 4,500 including institutional
buyers, owners of hotels, restaurants & traders/consolidators of the different
food and non-food products that were displayed by the 70 pre-identified MicroSmall Medium Entrepreneurs who occupied a total of 80 booths at the SM City
Event Center.
Dorecita T. Delima, DTI 12 Assistant Regional Director and National
Coordinator of DTIs Negosyo Center, before turning over the Key of
Responsibility to Ms. Evelyn Jaruda of DA, the Treasures of SOCCSKSARGENs
next event host, addressed the 70 MSME Exhibitors, DTI 12 personnel and
partner National Government Agencies. In her speech spoken in Filipino,
Maraming Salamat sa ating mga partner agencies na umagapay upang
maisagawa itong Trade Fair na ito. Mabuhay kayong lahat! Higit din akong
nagpapasalamat sa mga DTI Staff na mula noong umpisa hanggang sa Closing
Program ay nanatiling andito kahit sa araw ng Linggo para maibigay sa mga
MSMEs natin ang suportang kanilang kinakailangan sa pamamagitan ng
Serbisyong Higit pa sa Inaasahan the ARD said.
The Treasures of SOCCSKSARGENs convergence team are composed of
the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR), Department of
Agriculture (DA), Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR),
Department of Environment and Natural Resources Mines and GeoSciences
Bureau (DENR-MGB), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE),
Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Tourism (DOT),
Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), and Technology Education and Skills
Development Authority (TESDA). The Philippine Information Agency (PIA) 12
and the Tri-Media Association of GenSan, on the other hand, helped in the
