The Mission of the Month for June is Christian Education
and Vacation Bible School. Please keep these ministries in
your prayers. If you would like to help or give a donation to
Vacation Bible School please see Melanie Richman. Please let
Pastor Julia know if you can volunteer for Sunday School
and/or Junior Church this year or next! It is never too early
to let us know you want to be involved.
On this Fathers Day, we worship our Heavenly Father, giving
thanks for the men in our lives and in our church. We honor
and remember our earthly fathers as he commanded.

Jeff Simpkins to our pulpit once again this summer. He is an
elder at the Deerfield Presbyterian Church, a retired state
police officer, a committed family man (son-in-law of Dan
Hitchner and husband of Marsha Simpkins) and servant of
Jesus Christ. We appreciate his willingness to share with us
in worship and bring us the message on several occasions
while Pastor Julia is away.

Supplies Needed! We are in need of some supplies (tools

and safety gear) for the upcoming Youth Mission Trip to
Hurricane, West Virginia. A list of needed supplies will be
included in the bulletin shortly. You can also make a cash
donation so that we can purchase supplies as well. Just place
the donation in a pew envelope and mark it "Hurricane Trip".

Gardening for God 2010 SeasonWe have already started

harvesting and distributing some of our vegetables! We
have most of the planting done but with this hot weather
there is a need to keep plenty of water on the garden. Your
help is needed! There are sign up sheets in the narthex for
planting, harvesting, weeding, watering, and distribution.

Annual Fall Retreat: Join us as we take some time away in
the midst of our busy schedules to renew our walk with the
Lord and our relationships with one another. Our Fall
Retreat this year is scheduled for October 22nd-24th at
the Bird-in-Hand Family Inn in Bird-in-Hand, PA. John
Leamon, a Mennonite Pastor who spoke at the Farmers
and Friends dinner will be our Saturday night speaker.
We are hoping to attend a Mennonite Church for Sunday
Worship. We will be learning about the plain life and living
with straightforward faith in a complicated world. Please
plan on joining us for this exciting weekend. Children and
teens are also welcome. Cost for them is $20 each, over 17
pays as an adult. If youth want an adult rather than childs
dinner the cost is $30. Cost per adult is $150. Please sign
up with Bob Moore and pay your deposit of $25 per person
as soon as possible (children/teens are a $5 deposit). If you
have not made your initial deposit please see Bob ASAP.
Additional deposits will be due the end of June, of $25
each. The final payment of $75 each will be due in the
middle of September.
Vacation Bible School will soon be here and this year our
church will be jumping with excitement as we have a
Fiesta! The Fiesta program will provide fun and memorable
Bible learning activities for kids of all ages. Fiesta Crews
gather at Sing & Play Ole to sing and do fun motions to
upbeat Bible songs that will introduce kids to the concepts
they will be learning that day. The Fiesta crews will visit
five different Fiesta Stations including Maraca Munchies,
Hot Bible Adventures, Cactus Crafts, Grande Games and
meet Chadder Chipmunk on video! The children will also work
on a special project theyll create during craft time. It is a
mission project that allows them to impact needy children in
Ecuador! If you are interested in being a station or crew
leader please sign up in the narthex. VBS is being held from
6:20 pm 8:50 pm, July 12 -16 and registration forms are
now available in the narthex. Why not invite a friend or two!
We are beginning to think about summer activities for the
Kids Klub. If you would like to volunteer you can sign up to
teach card making, sewing, baking, soccer, baseball, crafts,
gardening, music, drama, story telling...you name it! Please
see Pastor Julia. It will be from 10:30 12 pm. July 1st we
will meet at the church for a Movement and Drama
Workshop- Pastor Julia and Joe will be leading. For those
children willing & interested we will be putting together
some special items to present in worship. July 15th we will
meet at Dot Floyds house for a pool party and hotdog lunch.
The theme is Noahs Arkwear a swimsuit and bring a towel.
Dates still available are July 29th , August 5th and 12th. You
can also choose a date that fits your schedule. Preschool
children and parents are also invited! Please come out and
make a difference in our young peoples lives.
 Calling all people
Pastor Julias Spring/Summer Sermon Series fits a theme of God
calling us and calling others to serve Him with our whole heart. As we
explore these Scriptures we will be encouraged to understand the
Lords calling for our lives. He has great plans for us and for our
church! Take some time throughout the summer to listen to the Lord,
what is he saying to you? Let us continue in our journey of spiritual
growth and renewal as we seek to study his word and know him better!
Why not read these Scriptures and ponder them, pray over them and
meditate on them over the summer!

Calling All Travelers, Commissioning Service for
WV Mission Trip and Communion
99 Days of FitnessLets get moving physically &
spiritually!
Join us for a congregational challenge of 99 days of
fitness. The program runs from Memorial Day and will end
on Labor Day. It is not too late to participate! Each person
who participates must log in the miles of their activities
daily. Activities may include walking, running, rowing,
swimming, or biking. Each Sunday, bring your log to church
and place it in the basket that is located in the narthex so
our collective miles can be calculated. If you prefer, you can
submit your miles at the churchs website at
www.daretownpres.org. This may be helpful if you will be out
of town on vacation. We will then travel to a destination
from Daretown, North, South, East, and West with our miles
and see where it takes us. Look in the narthex for updates
on our miles & travel! It will be fun to see how far we can go
in this short time frame.

Adults-Alpha Programcome ask questions about your
faith and grow deeper in your walk with the Lordthis is
a great program for everyone whether you have been a
Christian for 20 years, just a month or you are still
seeking. It is also a great event to invite a friend to
attend.
Youth Group and Kids Klub also meets during this time!
Our Youth will be using some of the Youth Alpha program
and our Kids Klub will be based on a Christian scouting
program called Pioneers Club where they earn badges for
service. More information to follow.
We need your help with TNT! We want this program to
be Dynamite so we want everyones input. Join us on
July lst at 1pm or at 7:30pm to plan for the Alpha
program. Choose one of the meetings to attendnot
both, this will give opportunity for people who work and
those folks who are only available during the day to
share their ideas. Please let us know if you plan on
attending. You can RSVP to the office via email or to
Jill directly in the office at 358-1104. Meetings will be
rescheduled if we dont receive RSVPs before June 30th.

sanctuary windows last week! Things are looking much
brighter today!

August 8th from 5-7pm. $25 for tickets if you are not a

August 28th-31st End of Summer RETREAT
Young Families, Youth group and Camping Enthusiasts or
those whon just love rollar coasters.Join us at Knoebels for
a mini retreat of fun, fellowship and reflection. This trip
will be an excellent opportunity to commune with the Lord in
the beautiful countryside of central Pennsylvania. The trip
is about 3 hours away and the cost is low, due to camping and
a pay as you go amusement park. There are also hotel
accomodations nearby. RSVP to Pastor Julia or Dana by July
29th if you plan on attending or want more information.
