Level 2. STARTING PROJECT
Multicultural World

This project aims to boost students confidence when speaking English. Through this valuable task students are given the opportunity
to use the target language, creating situations or relating their own experiences to the project. Many values were intrinsically taught
while the realization of the project, responsibility, tolerance, solidarity and particularly respect.
From the classroom, students learnt to appreciate even more their culture and to adopt, and accept a different point of view which
notoriously leads into raising tolerance in our young society.
What we do not know is not threatening, its just different- Anonimus.
I. Country.
Portugal

II. Location.
Portugal consits of a continental territory located in the south west of Europe; Its continental area has borders
with a single nation Spain, cast and north and borders to the south and west with the north Atlantic ocean.

III. Touristic places.


The capital of Portugal is Lisbon; Lisbon is an open air museum where we find many points of interest:
Place of rossio: Its the liveliest area of Lisbon; in the surrounding bars and restaurants abound.
Cathedral of Lisbon:Santa Maria Maior is the cathedral and most important church in Lisbon; Its commonly
called s de lisboa.
Tower of Belen: Located in the tajo estuary, initially served as a defensive tower to protect Lisbon, then his
mission was relocated to the lighthouse and customs center

IV. Typical food.


O braco alaranjado Portugues:

INGREDIENTS:
7eggs ,2glass of Orange juice,250 grof sugar + 50 gr apart , 1 nut butter, Baking paper1tablespoon cornmeal
PREPARATION:
Grate the two oranges and prepare juice.
In a bowl mix eggs sugar, zets, juice and cornmeal; mix well while grease a baking ponder with baking paper,
we put in the oven for 25 minutes.
Remove from the oven and place it over sugar and roll up.
Serve in.
Alheiras:Alheira is a prestigious Portuguese smoked choriza whose main ingredients are chicken, pork,
bread, olive oil, room, garlic and paprika. Game meat, beef, duck, peppers, ham are also used. It is shaped
like a horseshoe and is made from pork belly stuffed with a thin paste of minced meat and bread.
Seafood:With such extensive the Atlantic coast, away from the kitchen seafood is well stocked in Portugal,
and both Lisbon and other cities will find the most typical dishes.

V. Peoples physical appearance.


Almost all Portuguese are white, straight hair of any color (mostly all shades of brown), thin nose, long face,
eyes are slightly fallen and any color (mostly all shades of brown), but also in Portugal there are many people
with brown skin tone.

VI. Typical clothes from the country.


The Portuguese woman has a one-piece suit consisting of the top and bottom. In the top area woman wears a
shirt that then link to the rest of the piece.
The man wears black pants. At the top of the suit uses a white shirt and above it a black jacket, it is nicely
decorated stands. The man also wears a black hat as an accessory.
