Scotts Weekly Newsletter

Week in Review: November 21 - 25

Check out our blog for information on this years Christmas Concert!

Our poem this week was Baa Baa Black Sheep. The poetry duotangs are coming home again this
weekend for practice. We worked on using our fingers to track along with the words and pictures in the
poem.
We tried out A-B-C patterns this week! These proved to be a little bit trickier for some students! You
can practice these at home by using fork-spoon-knife when setting the table or banana-orange-apple
when youre unpacking groceries.
Our Sound Connections sound this week was nnnn. This is another nose sound where they are unable to
make the sound if they plug their noses. It is easily confused with the mmmm sound with the important
difference of lips open versus being closed.
We had guest readers in our class on Wednesday! Check out the blog to see who they were!
On our trip to Garden View we brought unifix cubes to show our senior friends the patterning we have
been doing in class.
Our centrepieces for Garden View are complete! Well take them with us next Thursday.
We also started our Top Secret Christmas Presents that kids will be bringing home to their families.
We have talked about only keeping secrets if we know its a surprise that will make someone else really
happy. And we are sure these will make parents happy!
