Tongue Depressors (thick popsicle sticks, 3 per student)
Rules
Sharpies
Markers
Pencil crayons

PREPARATION AND LOGISTICAL CONSIDERATIONS


Demos can be made with students watching

PROCEDURE
Introduction
Teacher will explain to students that in honour of Aboriginal Heritage Month, we
will be creating our own aboriginal stick game. Teacher will do a demo, and also
put up aboriginal patterns for inspiration on the board

Body
Student work
Students will be given their 3 popsicle sticks. They will decorate
one side of their popsicle stick only (either in black and white or
with colour
Games
Students will use their newly created sticks and play against their
classmates.
Closure
Teacher will have students clean up and prepare for recess
