Learning doesnt stop when you go out on the school, it usually stops when stop
breathing. Therefore, learning never stop, it is a never ending process. In gaining
information there must be a communication. Thus, communication plays a vital role in
assessment evaluation process.
Knowing the learnings of your student is a must in assessing students. There should be
a proper communication and interaction between the students and the teacher; to be
equally benefited by the data that was given. Assessment should be fair from the very
beginning up to the end of semester or school year. There is a way in giving a feedback
to the learner;
Beginning the instruction
*Placement assessment- done prior to instruction determine the
pre-requisite, degree of mastery of the course and best mode of
learning.
During instruction
*Formative Assessment- monitors the learning progress of the
student.
*Diagnostic assessment- aims to identify the strengths and
weaknesses of the students regarding the topic to be discussed.
After instruction
*Summative Assessment- determines the extent to which
instructional objectives have been met.

As a teacher, gather the data accurately for if not, you could ruin the bright future that
awaits the learner. Marilyn U. Balagtas (2011)
This quotation only says that the teachers must be very familiar with the content
of the lesson. They should be sure on the data that they will be given in class. The same

as the Assessment and evaluation, it should be authentic, continuous, ethical, reliable

and fair to everyone.
Teacher shouldnt be bias to their student. they must assess regardless the
religion, gender, and social status. The following are ways of assessing students in a
fair way.
1. PORTFOLIO- a compilation of accomplishment of the student in the entire
semester/school year. Portfolio can be easily measure by the teacher,
parents and authority to identify if there is a progress in the students.
2. PAPER AND PEN (traditional)
3. OBSERVATIONAL
4. PERFOMANCE BASED
