RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.

The website is used to navigate or find an event or person quickly. If a business wants people to visit his
or her website or page they just simply add the hashtag to the phrase and people will just have to click
on the # signed and it will direct people to that site. it's a great way to direct people to the information
that is requested. It makes things easier for people to find.

INTEGRATION IDEA - COLLABORATION

How might you integrate this resource in a lesson plan to promote collaboration among students in your
classroom, or among students and others outside of the classroom?:

This can be used by student if the instructor wants the students to check out a website that will help
them understand a topic by adding a pound sign (#) to the topic or statement. If the students are trying
to find how cells divide and make copies of themselves, they have the ability to click on the hashtag and
they will be directed to the article or video. The instructor can make a twitter account and add all the
useful memes and videos that will help the student understand a topic. The students may also assist if

they find a resource on line and the instructor approves then they are able to place a pound sign with a
phrase that is associated with the curriculum and will help other students as well.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
Based on the value-added rating scale above, how would you rate the technology integration you
described, using the selected resource? I would rate it a (3).
Yes, it aligned with the content standards of what the students will have to do in a biology classroom
setting; in fact I believe that it can be used in any subject where the student may require more
clarification.
Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators
Twitter is such a big thing that students would definitely like the idea that they get to use social media
for learning purposes. of course they will not be able to use it during class. But when the students are
not in class they will be able to use their laptops or cellphones to find the information that they need. If
the student needs further clarification they are able to visit the instructor's account and take notes on
what they believe is what they need help on.
