Only the participant can pick up their packet
No race day packet pick up

Proxy Information:
In order to have a designated individual pick up the
packet for a registered participant, the runner must sign
his or her E-Card and provide the individual attending
the Expo a photocopy of a Photo ID (drivers license,
government ID, passport). The proxy will be required to
sign the form and also show and provide a photocopy of
their own Photo ID.

Sunday
Getting to the start line:
Located on Route 110 halfway between
The Pentagon and Arlington Memorial Drive
Begins at 7:40am for wheelchair and hand
cycle participants.
Will officially begin at 7:55am for remaining
participants. The race will remain open until
8:55am.
Runners need to arrive 2 hours prior start time
to complete proper check-in.
Team photo: Meet at St. Jude Booth at
6:45am
Allow yourself plenty of time to get to where
you need to go in the morning.

WMATA SafeTrack Program Metro Opens at 7am


Use Public Transportation, Driving is not recommended
Limited parking in the area
- Free parking available in Crystal City at the intersection of 23rd and Crystal Drive
- Optional Parking:
1. Ronald Regan & Ballston Common Mall will not exceed $10 a day
Refer to Participant Guide for WMATA information
Bags will be searched at all entrances to the Start Line area
Recommended that you only use the marathon issued gear check bag for our private
gear check
Race must be fastened to your front outer layer of clothing to gain entry into the park
Fill out the emergency contact information our on the backside of your race bib
Do not alter your race bib
Bib Must be fasten on all four corners
Be prepared for all types of weather!

10 Aid Stations on the course


- Medical Tent with runner transport vehicles
- Bathrooms
- 12 Gatorade and water stations
- Food Station (oranges, cliff shot energy gel,
animal crackers, jelly belly sport beans)

38 Turns on the Marathon Course
12 water points located every two miles on the course
10 aid stations throughout the 26.2 miles
- Each aid station is equipped with Navy Medical Personnel Professional Civilian
Medical Volunteers.
The Gauntlet
- Participants must reach Independence Ave and 15th St by 12:38pm. If not, you will be
diverted from the certified Marathon course to 14th Street and may continue running but
will not complete the 26.2 mile course. These individuals will not be recognized as
official finishers.
Beat the Bridge
- All MCM participants must reach the 14th Street Bridge by 1:15 p.m. Every participant
will have 14 minutes-per-mile to meet this time requirement.

Race Day - Spectators


5 Locations for spectators to view the race
1. Watching the Opening Ceremonies at the MCM start line
on Route 110 in Arlington, VA
2. Lincoln Memorial in D.C. see runners at mile 8 and 14
3. National Mall see runners at mile 16 and 17
4. Crystal City Station see runners at miles 22 and 23.
You can also engage in activities at the Crystal City
Family Festival.
5. Marine Corps War Memorial and MCM finish line. There
will be bleachers for spectators to sit and watch runners
push through to finish the race.

Spectators will be able to reunite with runners in the


family link up area at the finish festival in Rosslyn.
