INTRODUCTION
As students, we experience difficulty in choosing places where to eat which
will offer us an affordable and especially a healthy foods. We find it hard to budget
our allowances just for food because as we all know, the prices of foods are
continuously increasing.
Oh My! Siomalunggay! Was chosen as the name of our food cart business for
some good reasons. The name is appealing to the target market we aim to sell. Oh
My! Siomalunggay! Represents a fast, reliable, and accessible impression to
students and employees in the School. Our product is different from other existing
food outlets in terms of quality, cleanliness, unique taste, nutritious, healthy and
affordable.

MARKET
Our primary target market are the students of Nueva Vizcaya State University
Bayombong Campus, as well as the faculty and staff, and visitors.
Based on our observations and personal experiences, most of the street food
vendors grabbing this opportunity to put this kind of small business because most of
the students find it hard to budget their allowances and sometimes we choose to
eat cheaper foods like Kiki-am, fish ball as well as siomai rather than to eat heavy
and expensive foods.

BUSINESS STRUCTURE
Partnership is the structure of our business because we believe that two is
better than one, it is easy to manage with a partners and there will be more
contributions of capital for our
business. For us this will be a good strategies
wherein we could contribute our own skills regarding on how to make our business
be more productive.
THE PRODUCT
Oh My! Siomalunggay!, our siomai is made out of malunggay leaves
(muringa oleifera) with different kinds of meats like beef, chicken and pork. We have
beverages like gulaman and vanilla juice.

Determined that siomai was one of the favorite snack of the students and
sometimes it was substitute to their breakfast or lunch if the find it hard to budgets
their allowances.
Oh My! Siomalunggay! will give the consumers different from other existing
food outlets in terms of quality, cleanliness, unique taste, nutritious, healthy and
affordable.

LOCATION
The location of the business is within the Nueva Vizcaya State University,
which only means that we have lots of prospective customers to look up to. The
store is situated at the College of Business and Economics area. College of Business
and Economics is considerably one of the biggest population in the university, pass
by and various highly visited establishments such as different building of schools
like the Science Laboratory High School which is located in front of the College of
Business and Economics, it is really considered as a factor why we decided to put up
this business in that area.

COMPETITION
Our main competitors are the fast-food vendors situated in and out of the
Nueva Vizcaya State University Bayombong Campus.
Our product is different from other existing food outlets in terms of quality,
cleanliness, unique taste, nutritious, healthy and affordable. We are only the pilot
seller of Siomalunggay inside the university compared to other siomai vendors in
and out the university. We can say that our business as well as the product was
captivating attention of the customers because maybe it is new to them.

PRICE

In the beginning we didnt decide how much is the price of our product is
(siomai and juice), but then one of the member of our group suggested that we will
be surveying regarding siomai vendors about the prices of their siomai so that it
will be easy to decide what is the price of our siomalunggay and juice.
Based on the result of our surveys to our competitors they had the same
prices on their siomai product, so, we decided to put the same price.

INDIVIDUAL INTEREST
Our main objectives are to help our fellow students to be aware that even
though the foods are cheap as long as it was having a quality and healthy foods, we
assure that our business having a product that was proven having quality,
cleanliness, unique taste, nutritious, and healthy.
To promote the students innovativeness on quality of siomai food product.
To establish good relationships with the customers.
To meet the consumers satisfaction by providing high quality products and
services at reasonable prices.
To be able to them to be aware in budgeting and to give importance to the
value of every single coin their parents giving to them.

CAPITAL
As a student we asked for the help of our parents and they agreed to help us
with the financial matters of our business. Our starting capital will be borrowed to
the one of the group members guardian.

SKILL
One of the members group has an expertise in making siomai thats why we
decided to grab the opportunity to utilize his skill by doing so. He also passed a
National Certificate (NC) II regarding Food Processing. We have also agreed that all

members of our group must be trained by him so that all of us will be familiar in the
production of our product.

We visited supermarkets and suppliers to compare their price quotations and


choose the lowest price but having a good quality that we will be canvassing.
MANPOWER
We have agreed to hire 2 full time service crew to look in the business and we
have made rotation schedule for us to be able to supervise our service crew and the
business itself.
