Carla McPherson wrote a letter of recommendation for Megan Custis, who was her student in an acute and chronic illness nursing course. McPherson noted that Custis had clear goals and was able to meet them, demonstrating excellent communication and time management skills. Custis was consistently prepared for clinical rotations, receptive to new learning situations, and problem-solved well by applying theory to practice. McPherson recommended Custis for a position based on her very good academic record of a 3.5 GPA and strong clinical skills.

To Whom It May Concern It is with great pleasure I am writing a letter of recommendation for Ms. Megan Custis. I, Carla McPherson, MS, RN-BC; Clinical Assistant Professor, have known Megan as a nursing student since fall 2015 when she enrolled in my course N366: Acute and Chronic Illness Management I. Ms. Custis was in my clinical group for that nursing course at Northwest Medical Center Tucson, Arizona. Throughout that semester, she had been a learner with very clear goals and the ability to meet those goals. She demonstrated excellent communication skills with clients, staff, peers, and faculty in all clinical settings. With minimal guidance, she remained organized and demonstrated time management skills appropriate for this level of student. Megan was consistently prepared for clinical and was receptive to new and challenging learning situations with a variety of adult-aged patients. She demonstrated problem-solving skills and was willing, professional, and enthusiastic to take on challenges. Megan has a very good academic record (estimated GPA 3.5) and has demonstrated appropriate clinical decision making skills applying theory to practice. I recommend this student, Megan Custis for a position within your organization. Please contact me with any questions. Sincerely,
Carla McPherson, MS, RN-BC
