The Investigation of Sexual

Violence and assault amongst
College Students
Kai McGowan, Brittany Matthews & Lila Simms
Research Problem: Students attitudes towards sexual violence
while in college and do institutions provide enough information.
Research Description
This topic was selected due to the widespread of sexual assaults and
crimes committed by college students and also the numerous amount of
college students that have been victims of these assaults. Have students
gotten so caught up in the college life that they have forgotten what comes
with it? Statics show that more rapes and assaults happen to college
students (boys and girls) more than any other group in society. Whether it
be intoxicated or completely sober, college students have a habit of not
thinking about their surroundings and the potential danger ahead. Students
are more focused on having fun than they are safety, and it is due to these
mindsets that college students are more than likely to be victims of assault
and violence.

Hypothesis
Research suggest that college students dont take sexual violence as serious
as they should.
