RE: Controversial issues of the 2nd amendment American popular culture.

My topic is about our 2nd amendment rights. I chose this topic for the
simple fact that I was almost killed in action (KIA) on March 29th 2006 in
Mosul Iraq defending our freedom, defending our constitutional rights,
defending my home front from the evil that wants to bring harm to my loved
ones. Im writing this as a soldier who understands the value of freedom and
the pain and suffering with the knowledge that freedom comes with the
highest cost. As a combat veteran I no longer fear that enemy overseas. I
fear our government. Why do I fear this? The simple fact that our own
government wants to take away that constitutional right, that freedom that
we have and they are slowly succeeding because we as a society are falling
victim to the false pretense that the government knows what is best for us.
They push to take away our rights to keep and bear arms, proposing guns
kill and guns are bad they use these words in social media to direct our
attention to what they want us to see and believe and not truth of what we
should be looking at. Why it is the gun is to blame for the death of someone
and not the person? Why dont we ban cars because of accidents Or a DUIs?
How come pencils are not to blame for misspelled words or forks at fault for
overweight people? All of these topics involve the use of a tool and yet out
of all of them only one is to be blame for its use! In the constitution the
second amendment states: A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the
security of a Free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall
not be infringed. Why do we ignore this statement? Why as free men do we
allow the government to infringe our right to this amendment? Why is it that
this is the only amendment where I have to have permission to exercise this
right? You have heard the saying history repeats itself. Do you know how
Adolf Hitler was able to control Germany, he killed and destroyed anyone
that tried to stop him, and he did this by taking away their rights, there way
of life, their will and means to protect themselves. The strongest reason for
the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to
protect themselves against tyranny in government. Ill end this memo with a
very famous quote from Thomas Jefferson-"When governments fear the
people, there is liberty" let me say that again "When governments fear the

people, there is liberty" However, "When the people fears the government,
there is tyranny.
