Contaminantsmaycauserapidwearandshortenedcomponentlife.

Note:Thecrankshaftfrontsealandthewearsleevemustbereplacedatthesametime.Oncethe
crankshaftfrontsealandthewearsleeveareseparated,thesecomponentscannotbeusedagain.
Note:Donotuseanytypeoflubricantduringtheinstallationofthecrankshaftfrontsealand
thewearsleeve.
1. Beforeinstallationofthecrankshaftfrontsealandthewearsleeve,inspectthecrankshaftfor
scratches.Also,inspectthecrankshaftforanydistortiononthesurfacethatmayleadtoanout
ofroundcondition.Useapolishingclothinordertoremoveanyimperfectionsonthe
crankshaft.

Tooling(D).LubricatethefaceofthewasheronTooling(F).InstallTooling(F)onTooling
(D).
5. TightenTooling(F)untilTooling(G)contactsTooling(D).
6. RemoveTooling(F)andTooling(G)fromTooling(D).
7. RemoveTooling(E)andTooling(D)fromthecrankshaft.
