In August of 2014 I was given the opportunity to travel to England to spend 6 months
playing soccer full time while working on a BTEC of Sport program. This experience

gave me a good chance to get used to living away from home as well as living in and
experiencing a foreign culture. I gained a lot of knowledge in the sense of professional
sports because I was around a professional soccer club the whole time as well as what
is it like to live over seas. All in all this was a good experience and I enjoyed the time I
got living abroad as well as experiencing another culture.

Within my time at HSC , I have been involved in different tasks. Through grades 7-10
I was in a program called community outreach, where once I week I went to a local
community centre and was involved in the programme for the elders. Otherwise, I have
been involved in small tasks like helping to set up and organize school events and
tournaments, as well as score keeping games.
