The Capital Crier

DEMON AND DEMONKIND

TWO NIGHTS AGO, a mysterious attack during
the Night of Martyrs left 42 dead and at least twice
that number wounded. New evidence has come to
light indicating that this attack was in fact perpetrated
by a demon of the worst sort.
Chancellor Robert issued a statement to the
Capital Crier late last night, explaining that the
demons attacks were finally thwarted by a combined
force of adventurers and Iron Marshals. The
adventurers, named Alaran, Salin, and Sephiroth, are
currently in town awaiting the trial of their companion,
one of our investigators discovered. Upon speaking
with their attorney, Ambrogio Ariadon, our investigator was unable to determine the
name of their companion accused of forced entry and burglary.
We have been assured by the Chancellor that every effort will be made to
determine the source of this demon attack. In the meantime, he advises all citizens
to stay off the streets at night. He emphasizes that while this is not a mandatory
curfew, it is for your own safety and should be followed whenever possible.

ARMY ON THE MARCH

FOR DAYS, WEVE been seeing the preparation of a battalion of Imperial
Orderlies on the Southern Staging Grounds of the city. It has only recently come to
light that their purpose is to retake a settlement, Elaron, on the southern shores of
the Empire. Elaron was attacked by a coalition of druids and mercenaries, and the
inhabitants were driven out of the town and left to fend for themselves in the
wilderness as their town was burned. Reports have indicated that a paladin aided in
the defense of the town before leaving the convoy of refugees once they were in
safe hands. Our hearts and prayers go out to the poor souls whose lives were
stolen from them that day. May Fuan help us all.
