Saint Washington Delivers

Christmas Gift to
Hessians
December 26,
MDCCLXXVI
n the night of Christmas
Eve, George Washington,
in a bold military move,
crossed the Delaware River
with the Continental Army,
in order to spring a surprise
attack on the Hessian
forces stationed in Trenton, New Jersey. Of course they were in New Jersey, the
worst colony.
While the ice and waters of the Delaware River unstably rocked and swayed under
depiction of the heroic event that was totally not
the raft, Washington heroically lead theAmen
with tactical brilliance, and ended up
painted in 1851.
killing 22 Hessians with only 2 C0ntinental soldiers dying due to exposure to the
cold winter. Please donate to the militia, the winter is a cold one, and a deadlier
force than the British. A whopping 896 Hessian soldiers were captured, who,
according to General Washington, will be sent to Philadelphia to be dealt with.
This is a momentous occasion in our efforts, as it shows not only that we have the
gumption and drive to defeat the British and win this war, but we also have the
tactical and military skills to win. It all is thanks to the wonderful Commander in
Chief, George Washington. I reckon hed do well in a position of high power after
this this war is won, leading the people. But that is only my opinion.
This battle not only gives us military advantage, but also provides our men with
supplies. In the joyous spirit of Christmas, the Hessians kindly gifted the army all

of their provisions: food, ale, and clothing. But still we must support the effort
through donations.
