Florida Registration Deadline Extended

Jacksonville, FLA, (Oct. 12, 2016): Citizens in Florida were granted six more days to register
to vote on Wednesday due to Hurricane Matthew. The U.S. District Judge made his final decision
with a three-page order.
All 67 county election supervisors must accept applications from new voters until 5 p.m. on
Oct. 18, and forms must be accepted if they are postmarked by that date, even if they arrive days
later, said Greg Clark, outreach director for Duval County Supervisor of Elections.
The Duval County Supervisor of Elections is one of the largest in the state of Florida and with
that comes great responsibilities.
