Founder, editor in chief and basically the

end boss. One of the first journalist to have
written about Dutch social network Hyves,
back in the days when it was just a small
startup. Now widely known in the local
ecosystem as the Godfather of startups.
Owner of Proudly Media, the company behind
startup consultancy Proudly Represents and
of course Silicon Canals.

Jeroen has broad experience in the editorial

world as a sports writer, business editor
and a newspaper journalist, which makes
him a brilliant copywriter with a nack
for old school media. After helping large
finance, legal and IT companies to craft and
implement their communication campaigns,
Jeroen joined Proudly Media to aid on the
publishing and content marketing side.

Senior Editor who has been

producing online content since
1999. Loves to look beyond the
facts and figures in search of the
bigger story. Returned from six
years in Sydney to re-discover
Amsterdam as the vibrant and
inspiring startup hub it has become.
It sure is good to be back.
