Please add specific comments about the student teachers observed strengths
during this teaching practicum and identify areas in which you feel further
development is necessary.
Observed Strengths: /
*connection to previous lesson was made.
Students were able to identify living things and
non-living things.
*The live turtle helps stimulate student
thinking.
*The plant activity was a good way for students
to remember what plants need to live.
*Students were given various opportunity to
move around the classroom to avoid boredom.

Areas in which further development is needed:

*Too much time was being wasted. You were to improve
the transition between the activities and you did not
reach this goal. Students appear disinterested and were
not focus. The teacher is responsible to ensure student
are focus and engage in the lesson. The best deterrent
of misbehavior is a challenging and interesting lesson.

*Whole class instruction was too long. Twenty-five

minutes is too long for young students to sit and
listening to instruction. Half of the class hour was base
on whole class discussion.

General Comments: Do not exclude some students from completing activity in the name of
differentiation. You can differentiate the activities, but everyone must do an activity that is equally fun an
educationally.

Although the assessment was in alignment with the objective, all the answers were given to the students.
Additional words could have been added to make the assessment more challenging. The students are abl
to read.
