1. What requirements must you meet in order to study abroad? (i.e. GPA, etc.)
Requirements you must have to meet study abroad is you must have a 2.75 for the
semester for yearlong programs. For Summer programs, you must accumulate a
2.50 GPA.
2. What are the three (3) different types of study abroad programs available to
students?
Three types of study abroad available for students are exchange which provides students an
affordable way to participate in study abroad. These programs utilize an established relationship between specific
universities that exchange students with each other with each student paying the tuition and fees at their home
university and not at the host university. Another program is direct study abroad which is a program administered
by an organized by the school support services. The last one is faculty led which is programs designed by NCAT
staff.

3. What are the deadlines for applying for study abroad?


Deadlines for applying for study abroad is Spring October 14, Summer March 15,
and Fall March 15.
4. What are three different ways that you can raise money to fund your trip?
Three different ways you can raise money for your trip is financial aid package,
scholarships, and sponsors and savings. To do study abroad you must plan
because you must have somewhere to live, eat, and if you want to shop.
5. Name two (2) scholarships that can fund you for your trip and how you meet the
requirements?
Two scholarships that can fund you for your trip is Benjamin A. Gilman International
which is a pell-grant and recipients can receive up to $5,000. Another scholarship
is Freeman ASIA scholarship which students can receive $3,000 for the Summer,
$5,000 for the semester, and $7,000 for the academic year.

6. Where would you like to travel to for your study abroad experience and why?
If I was to travel for study abroad I would want to go to France because I would
want to try the food and buy clothes. It also looks nice on the internet so I would
want to get that experience.
7. Does A&T offer this as an option? If not, then what would be your second choice
destination?
I believe so and my second destination would be Africa. I choice Africa because I
want to see whats it like to live and eat like them.
