To Whomever It May Concern,
Hello My name is Tirrell Creasman, Im currently enlisted in the United States Air Forces
as a Pararescuemen, and Im doing my research project on Suicide Awareness specifically
Veteran suicide Awareness.
Soldiers are prepared to fight the fight, but what happens when the fight becomes too
much for them to bare. When they feel as if there is no in the world to turn to and that no one
truly understands them. The phrase only a Warfighter understands a Warfighter comes to mind
and its true. Veterans truly only understand one another but when they dont have anyone to turn
to it becomes unbearable, enfact 22 Veterans a day find it too much to carry on. This has to be
stopped many people dont even know that 22 of their countrys warfighters feel abandoned or
worthless. Im proposing that as an American Airmen and as an American Citizen we should
raise suicide Awareness and help these Men and Women out.
My proposal to help raise Awareness of Veteran suicide is simple. Running to raise
Awareness just like it was Cancer, or some other terminal illness. So I Tirrell Creasman will be
running 247 miles from Asheville North Carolina to Raleigh North Carolina to raise Awareness
of a problem that hits home more often than not. I originally got the idea from a fellow Airmen
who ran 694 miles to raise Awareness of PTSD and its effects.
My mentor is a retired Army Sgt. Who I simply refer to as Justin. He is part of the
Organization StopSoilderSuicide, which is the organization that I chose to sponsor on my run.
He has worked closely with me and has help to secure my routes and even has gotten me some
shirts, etc to help sponsor my run and to help raise Awareness.
Suicide is a very real thing in Americas society and we all tend to pretend it doesnt
exist. Instead we would like to shut it behind a closed door and throw away the key. Well its
time to raise this Awareness especially for my Brothers and Sisters in arms. Together as an
American people we can end this horrible event that happens to so many daily.
My growth will be both mental and physical as I dive into the world of Veteran Suicide
prevention. But it will be well worth it if I can help to raise Awareness and help to stop these
deaths even if it is one death at a time, I want this to become a 22 to 0 a day movement and not
just 22 push-ups I mean actually making a change in the world.

Now in terms of plagiarism, no one should ever take another's work for their own. I
would be slightly upset if someone took my work for their own. Infact this project will be strictly
my own although I will sight information for the organization Im supporting but I will not take
any of it as my own. .
Thank you for considering my proposal to stop Veteran Suicides, And to help raise
Awareness of this growing problem in American society.
Sincerely,

Tirrell Creasman.
P.S. My Run to Raleigh will begin September 24th 2016. At the Vance Monument in downtown
Asheville.
