rocker Joel Madden raved about his
wife of five years, Nicole Richie. There
are moments where you feel like life
is perfect... thats how we feel, really
blessed and lucky, said Joel, who went
on to describe Nicole as an incredible
partner and really supportive. But it may be
that Joel gave that interview before a recent
set of photos surfaced, showing Nicole and
their son, Sparrow, in the company of a tall,
handsome unidentified hunk on July 10
the same day her husband was 7,500 miles
away in Australia, wrapping up his hosting
duties on the latest season of The Voice.
And given the reports of trouble in Joel
and Nicoles union over the past few years,
says an insider, it raises the question of
what the real story of their relationship is
behind the scenes.
TOO CLOSE FOR COMFORT?
Nicole, 34, and her mystery companion
looked like a doting couple as they
clasped Sparrows hands en route to his
friends house. Nicole definitely seemed
at ease with the guy, an eyewitness tells
Star. She even seemed a little flirty at
times. Sporting a beard and a man bun,
her companion appeared to be close to
6-year-old Sparrow, as well. At one point,
Sparrow reached under the guys shirt
to tickle his tummy, and he whispered
something to Sparrow, making him laugh,
says the eyewitness. He certainly acted
like he was part of the family.
In what may be another sign that her
marriage is on shaky ground, Nicole was
photographed the day before with the
same male friend in West Hollywood
and she wasnt wearing her wedding ring!
He could be a bodyguard or a manny, the
eyewitness adds. Whoever he is, he and

The sightings have friends worried that
the rift between Nicole and Joel, 37, has
gotten a whole lot wider. Joel has been
living in Australia on and off for nearly five
years, while Nicole stays home in L.A. taking

Its like Nicole and Joel are leading separate
lives, says the insider. Sometimes Nicole
doesnt feel like she even has a husband.
GIRL TALK
Reports of Joels wandering eye seem to
have been on the rise in recent years. He
made headlines Down Under in 2013 for his
cozy relationship with sexy blonde Delta
Goodrem, his then-colleague on The
Voice. The following year, he was
photographed kissing songwriter
Bonnie McKee outside
an L.A. restaurant. And in
June 2015, he was caught
in a close encounter with
Bachelorette star Kaitlyn
Bristowe at L.A.s House

Now that Joel has
finished filming The Voice,

Story Congrats to Dukes of Hazzard its no longer the
worst movie based on a TV show. Ab Fab, inspired by the
cult-favorite 90s British TV series, suffers from Zoolander 2
syndrome: too many celeb cameos 60, to be exact and
not enough laughs. The writers didnt bother with actual
jokes, hoping instead that two hours of two hard-drinking,
self-absorbed twits, Edina (Saunders) and Patsy (Lumley),
cursing and making faces would pass as comedy. The
nonsensical plot involves Edina and Patsy on the run in France
after possibly murdering Kate Moss, and hopefully someone
charges them with crimes against cinema, as well. Bafflingly,
this is the most popular flick in England... but then again,
these are the same people who eat blood pudding.
Verdict Its absolutely avoidable, sweetie darlings.

the new Star Trek films not to be directed by J.J. Abrams, who moved on to Star
Wars. So its up to director Justin Lin (Fast & Furious) to take the U.S.S. Enterprise
on a mission against a legion of vicious aliens led by Idris Elba, doing his best iguana
impression in out-of-this-world makeup. The crew winds up on an uncharted
planet trying to make nice with the locals while trying to find a way back to
Federation-controlled space. Spoiler alert: Remember that Chris Pines Captain
Kirk eventually ages to become William Shatner.
