What are some reasons

why domestic abuse
victims do not seek help?

DOMESTIC
VIOLENCE

People dont talk about it

because they are afraid to speak
out and not be heard
Ask for help and instead of getting
it, that causes them more violence
and problems.
Because it is a very quiet problem,
usually people do not seek help to
solve it
Most of the victims forgive the
mistreatment for love

FEARS

What can we do about it?

There are many places that offer help
to victims of domestic violence but
most of the people dont know
where to go or who to trust. Its
very important that the victims feel
safe in the places that offer help to
them and trust the people that they
are telling their stories.

Be disrespected.
Stay silent.
Be abused.
Be hurt.
Give up.
