Atlanta International Dance Festival Celebrates Inaugural Season



What:
The inaugural season of the Atlanta International Dance
Festival will celebrate its opening with a gala for donors,
participating artists, leaders in arts education, and city
officials. Tickets to the event are also available with a fiftydollar donation to AIDF. The evening will include a cocktail
reception with hors doeurves, a video preview of the festival,
and a short performance from the Kibbutz Dance Company.

When:
Thursday, December 1, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.

J. Barry Schrenk, Georgia Council for the Arts Chair

Jerry Thomas, Jr., Fulton County Arts Council Chair

Why:
Atlanta mayor Kasim Reed, in conjunction with the chairs
from both the Georgia Council for the Arts and Fulton County
Arts Council, will make a speech recognizing the importance
of AIDF in the Atlanta metropolitan arts community and how
to further cultivate arts education and awareness.

Founded in 2016 in Atlanta, Georgia, the Atlanta International
Dance Festival aims to provide the Atlanta metropolitan area
with access to the worlds most innovative dance artists in
order to broaden the cultural and artistic perspectives of
Atlantas residents.
