Grade One December
Grade One December
Generative Topic: Now that the students have established a strong core of
musical elements they can practice and use these in partnership with winter
celebration songs. The pieces will be both old classics that they are likely to be
familiar with as well as some new songs from different cultures. From all of
these pieces we will explore the musical elements that we have learned up until
now as well as putting some concrete terms on some aspects that they are
already likely aware of such as verse and chorus. Also we will begin to
elaborate on some knowledge already obtained and turn loud and soft into
forte and piano. The entire month will be a journey through joyful and loving
songs celebrating one another, our histories, and our diversities.
