October is Quality Month. DENSO is built on quality focusing on quality from design to production. Our Quality First
thinking is one of the many things that make DENSO successful. But why else is quality important? We want to hear from
YOU. Why do you care about quality?
1. ELIGIBILITY: The Quality Starts with Me Raffle (Contest) is open to the following individuals: all regular fulltime, part-time, contract, temporary, co-op associates and expatriates who are employed by DENSO International
America, Inc., DENSO Mexico, DENSO Wireless Systems America, DENSO Manufacturing Canada, DENSO
Sales Canada, DENSO Manufacturing Athens Tennessee, DENSO Products & Services America, DENSO
Manufacturing Michigan, DENSO Manufacturing Michigan Iowa, DENSO Manufacturing Michigan Alabama,
DENSO Manufacturing Tennessee, DENSO Manufacturing Arkansas, Associated Fuel Pump Systems
Corporation, ASMO Manufacturing, Inc., ASMO North Carolina, Inc., ASMO Greenville of North Carolina, Inc., and
Kyosan DENSO Manufacturing Kentucky, LLC.

2. TO ENTER: Eligible individuals may enter the Contest by submitting a photo with both them and their completed
sign in the photo. Group photos will not be accepted as an entry individual photos only. The Contest
submission period begins at 8 a.m. EST on August 15 and ends at 5 p.m. EST on September 16, 2016 (the
Submission Period). All photos must be received within the Submission Period. The timestamp on the email
receipt is the official timekeeping device for the Contest. Limit of 1 Photo Response per Entrant.
To enter during the Submission Period, send an email (Entry) to Corp_Communications@densodiam.com with the following:
a. Contact Information including name, email address and company of employment.
b. 1 photo taken by the associate (or taken of the associate) submitting the Entry (the Entrant). All pictures
submitted must meet the following guidelines:
The photo is of the Entrant;
The sign in the photo is an original tear-out from Vision; and
The Entrants response is related to Quality.
Once the Entry is received, Entries are final and may not be modified, supplemented or edited. See
section 5 for Entry restrictions. Any questions about submission guidelines should be sent to
Corp_Communications@denso-diam.com.
3. SELECTION OF WINNERS:
a. One (1) winner of a $500.00 American Express Gift Card, two (2) winners of a $100.00 American
Express Gift Card and four (4) winners of a $50.00 American Express Gift Card will be selected at
random on September 19, 2016. The prize winners must confirm acceptance of the prize by 5 pm EST on
September 23, 2016. If a potential prize winner is disqualified for any reason, including failure to confirm
acceptance of the prize by 5 pm EST September 23, 2016, the prize may be awarded to another Entrant.
Winners will be announced on October 3, 2016 to kick-off our annual North American Quality Campaign.
Winners will be drawn at random by the sponsors of the contest.

5. Taxable Prizes and Gifts: All portions of any Prize with a dollar value are subject to income tax. All applicable
taxes to any Winners due to his/her receipt of the Grand Prize or a Category Prize will be paid by DENSO. This is
done by adding the tax dollar amount to the Winners paycheck, which is then taken out as federal and state
taxes. This practice is called gross up and in general, this has no impact on the individual. However, in some
cases, this practice can increase the associates taxable income level for the year. By submitting an Entry, all
Entrants accept that their taxable income may rise due to the gross up process.
6. ENTRY RESTRICTIONS: Entries produced in violation of the following rules may be disqualified. The Sponsors
determination on violations shall be final. Photos may not contain, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole
discretion, any content that:
a. violates DENSOs Spirit of Integrity DENSOs Code of Business Conduct
b. violates any DENSO company policy when capturing Photos on company property this includes, but is
not limited to, policies related to use of cell phone, camera phones, cameras, and capturing photos on
company property;
c. contains DENSO or customer intellectual property or confidential information; promotes a DENSO
competitor or its products or services;
d. promotes using DENSO product(s) in an off-label manner;
e. is sexually explicit, obscene or suggestive; unnecessarily violent or derogatory of any ethnic, racial,
gender, religious, professional or age group; profane or pornographic; or contains nudity;
f. promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing);
g. defames, misrepresents or contains disparaging remarks about other people, other companies or
Sponsor, or any DENSO products or services;
h. contains trademarks, logos, or trade dress, without permission to the extent permission is necessary;
i. contains any personal identification, such as license plate numbers, personal names, e-mail addresses or
street addresses or other personal information;
j. contains copyrighted materials owned by others (including music, photographs, sculptures, paintings, and
other works of art or images published on or in websites, television, movies or other media), without
permission to the extent permission is necessary;
k. contains materials embodying the names, likenesses, voices, or other indicia identifying any person,
including, without limitation, celebrities and/or other public or private figures, living or dead, without
permission to the extent permission is necessary;
l. communicates messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and/or good will with which
Sponsor wishes to associate; and/or
m. contains material that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in any state where
the Photo is created.
n. Photos that do not meet the submission criteria set forth above, contain prohibited content, and/or are
otherwise deemed by Sponsor, in its sole discretion, to be inappropriate or obscene or not in keeping with
Sponsors image will be disqualified.

7. GENERAL RULES: By submitting a Photo, each Entrant (1) warrants that his/her Photo is of them; (2) agrees
that all Photos submitted are gratuitous, unsolicited and without restriction, and will not place Sponsor under any
obligation; and (3) grants Sponsor and its assignees and designees the non-exclusive, irrevocable, royalty-free,
worldwide, perpetual license to exploit the copyright, publicity and database rights Entrant has in the Photo or the
ideas and concepts contained in the Photo, any ancillary and subsidiary rights therein in any media now known or
not currently known, with respect to the Photo. Sponsor and its assignees and designees reserve the right to edit,
publish, create a derivative of, print, use, adapt, exploit, modify, copy, disseminate, dispose, disclose, broadcast
and/or transmit all Photos and the ideas, concepts or elements embodied therein, including any names and
likenesses, on a non-confidential basis in any and all marketing materials, media, websites and social networking
sites, now known or hereafter devised (including via the internet and at events) for any and all purposes, including
but not limited to advertising and promotional purposes, without time or territorial limitation, compensation,

permission or notification, unless prohibited by law. If for any reason an Entrant's Photo is confirmed to have been
erroneously deleted, lost, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, the Entrants sole remedy is another chance to
upload his/her Photo, provided that if this is not possible due to discontinuance of the Contest, or any part of it, for
any reason, Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may elect to award the prize to Entrants whose Photo was received up
to the time of impairment. Released Parties assume no responsibility for undeliverable e-mails resulting from any
form of active or passive e-mail filtering by an Entrants Internet service provider and/or insufficient space in an
Entrants e-mail account to receive e-mail. In the event a dispute arises regarding any Photo or specific individual
entitled to receive the prize, an Entry will be declared made by the authorized e-mail account holder and he/she
must be eligible according to these Official Rules. Authorized e-mail account holder is defined as the natural
person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider or other
organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the
domain associated with the submitted e-mail address. An Entrant may be requested to provide Sponsor with proof
that the Entrant is the authorized e-mail account holder of the e-mail address associated with the
account/submission. Proof of submitting Photo/Entry will not be deemed to be proof of receipt by Sponsor.
ALL PHOTOS RECEIVED ARE THE VIEWS/OPINIONS OF THE INDIVIDUAL ENTRANT AND DO NOT
REFLECT THE VIEWS OF SPONSOR or DENSO IN ANY MANNER. Sponsor shall have no obligation (express
or implied) to use any Photo, or to otherwise exploit any Photo or, if commenced, to continue the distribution or
exploitation thereof, and Sponsor may at any time abandon the use of any Photo for any reason, with or without
legal justification or excuse, and Entrants shall not be entitled to any damages or other relief by reason thereof.
Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to prohibit the participation of an individual (and void all
associated Photos) if fraud or tampering is suspected, including any means which subvert the entry process, or if
the Entrant fails to comply with any requirement of participation as stated herein or with any provision in these
Official Rules.
By participating in this Contest, Entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor
and judges, which are final and binding in all matters. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state,
provincial and local laws and regulations. Any breach of these terms or attempt by any person to deliberately
undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an
attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies (including attorneys fees)
from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsors failure to enforce any term of these Official
Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
8. GENERAL CONDITIONS: Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest (or any portion thereof) at
any time and for any reason, including, but not limited to, if fraud, misconduct or technical failures destroy the
integrity of the Contest. If the Contest (or any portion thereof) is so cancelled, Sponsor will notify all entrants with
an eligible Photo received prior to the time of termination.
9. LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY: Entrants, by participating in this Contest, hereby waive and release, and agree to
hold harmless the Sponsor, DENSO International America, Inc., and its affiliated companies, and all of their
respective officers, directors, representatives, agents and employees (collectively, Released Parties) from and
against, any and all rights, claims and causes of action whatsoever that they may have, or which may arise,
against any of them for any liability for any matter, cause or thing whatsoever, including, but not limited to (1) lost,
late, damaged, delayed, inaccurate, incomplete, or mutilated or misdirected Photos, whether caused by Entrant,
typographical, printing or other errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the
Contest; (2) Entries not received by the applicable deadline; (3) technical or electronic failures or malfunctions of
any kind, including, but not limited to lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider
(ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer,
satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or
misdirected transmissions or computer malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or computer
or network hardware or software including any injury or damage to any persons computer related to or resulting
from participating in the Contest and that may limit a users ability to participate in this Contest; (4) other errors or
difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or
otherwise relating to or in connection with the Contest, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may
occur in connection with the administration of the Contest, the processing of Entries, the tabulation of votes, the
announcement of the prizes, or in any Contest-related materials; and (5) any injury, loss, damage, whether direct,
compensatory, incidental or consequential, to person, including death, and/or property, arising in whole or in part,
directly or indirectly, from their participation in this Contest or their acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any
prize (including any travel or activity-related thereto), or any prize-related activity, or the rights granted herein.
