PART E
PARTICULAR SPECIFICATION FOR BUILDING, STRUCTURES AND
RELATED CIVIL WORKS
1.0
Scope of Works
In general the scope of civil work for the supply and services to be provided by
the Contractor shall include procurement, construction and put to use of all
necessary facilities required for the proper performance of the Works or as
specified but shall not be limited to the following:A. Astana 132kV Substation Establishment

Fencing and gates
Street, perimeter and other lightings
Finishes and painting
Building M&E services including lighting, ventilation, air
conditioning and fire detection and protection system
Planning and coordination for protection and relocation of
affected existing utility services, i.e. electricity pole, water main,
telephone pole and its appurtenances
Works To Be Completed
The Specification has been drawn up with all possible care and is intended to
cover the supply of all materials and the execution of all works necessary for
the completion of the works. In case where there is any detail of construction
or of materials which have not been referred to in this Specification or
Summary of Tender or Tender Drawings, but the necessity for which may be
implied or inferred from the Specification, Summary of Tender, or Tender
Drawings, or which are usual or essential to the completion of all works in all

trades, the same shall be deemed to be included in the rates and prices
named by the Contractor in the priced Bill of Quantities.
Site Conditions
For the purpose of tendering, Tenderer may request for available geotechnical
information for the areas near the Site. Tenderer is to obtain information
through its own direct investigation rather than depend on secondary
information or source. The interpretation of any existing information shall be
the sole responsibility of the Tenderer.
The Tenderer shall visit the existing Sejingkat & Astana substation sites and
satisfy himself with regards to the site conditions, prior to submitting his
tender, as no claims will later be entertained on grounds of ignorance due to
the nature of work involved.

Safety Barricade
A. Astana 132kV Substation Establishment
Temporary barricades of timber/non-conductive materials shall be erected
along the site boundary to separate the work area from live sections (the
existing Astana 33kV Substation and other areas. Minimum 1.8 m high
barricade complete with hardwood posts and 100mm wide 20mm thk. timber
plank to Engineers approval, shall be provided. Height restriction bars to
Engineers approval shall be erected in parallel on both sides of overhead live
conductor, at locations approved by the Engineer. Barricade and height
restriction bars shall be erected during construction period.
B. Sejingkat 132kV Substation Extension
The Tenderer is to take note of the surrounding area (still in operation) and the
contractor is to ensure that precautions and protections are taken to minimize
the disruption/disturbance or damage to the substation plants, equipments,
power lines etc. during the construction period. Temporary security measures
shall be taken to fence/board up on restricted areas (as per Tender
Drawing:

necessary by the Employer. These measures shall be deemed to be included
in the tender price.

Demolition Works
A. Astana 132kV Substation Establishment
Within the Sub-station Compound
All existing buildings, sub-structure and infrastructure (including M&E
infrastructures) works within site to be demolished by the Contractor and to
be dump into Contractors own dumping area in which its location to be
approved by the E.R. The existing r.c. piles are to be left intact. After
demolition works, the Contractor is required to do survey of the actual location
of the existing concrete piles supporting all of the existing structures,
substructures and infrastructures to be demolished. These accurate locations
are to be marked on site and in the layout plan. Should the existing piles affect
the Works in any way, the E.R. will amend the design to suit the actual site
condition. The Tenderer shall submit method statements describing
ways in executing the demolition works at the time of tender
submission.
Outside of the Sub-station Compound
All existing structures, sub-structures and infrastructures to be demolished as
per instructed in the drawing: PLS120064/AST/C/G/CE/P/01. If existing piles

found on site obstructs the earthworks in any way, the piles to be cut to
the required excavation levels. Existing utilities, if affected to be
relocated by the Contractor. Contractor shall obtain the permission
from the relevant local authorities in the case of shifting the existing
utility services.
Site Clearing and Earthworks
A. Astana 132kV Substation Establishment
Within Sub-Station Compound
The site clearing work for new Astana 132kV Substation shall consist of
dismantling work of the existing building and structures, sub-structures,
infrastructures, clearing, grubbing and stripping of topsoil/ gravel topping/
pavement inside the built up area. The platform level (subgrade level) of
Stakan 132/33/11kV Substation shall be leveled to PPL 16.44m as indicated in
Tender Drawings. Site will be available upon award of tender.
The Tenderer must visit the site and satisfy himself with regard to the site
conditions, prior to submitting his tender, as no claims will later be
entertained on the grounds of ignorance of the nature of the work involved.
The Contractor shall be responsible to dispose any excess soil, unsuitable soil
as well as any excavated hard materials/rock outside the site at an approved
dumping site, if required. The location of the dumping site to be proposed by
the Contractor and to be approved by the E.R.
The Tenderer is to note that only suitable material approved by the Engineer
shall be used as fill material and as such the costs shall include the import of
suitable materials, if required. Earth moving plants are not accepted as
compaction equipment. The submitted cost is deemed to have included all
these. The Contractor to allow imported approved earth fill for the formation
of substation platform.
The Contractor must keep whole construction site well drained at all times
during construction period, and shall ensure that as far as is practicable in the
opinion of the Engineer, all work is carried out in the dry. To satisfy the
foregoing requirement, the Contractor shall make all arrangement to construct
and maintain all temporary drains, sumps, water courses and other works.
Water must be removed from work site by means of pumping or the like when
construction is in progress. All such temporary measures shall be removed at
a time as approved by the Engineer, after works are completed. All costs
associated to such works shall be deemed to have been included in the
Contract Rates.
The Tenderer shall submit method statements describing ways in executing
earthworks, at the time of tender submission. The method statement should
at least comply with JKR Standard Specifications for Roadworks (JKR/SPJ/1988).
The Contractor shall provide necessary protection to all existing utility
services or facilities e.g. water pipeline and appurtenances, ducts, sewers,
overhead or underground cables etc., unless the foregoing are to be removed
or diverted, during the execution of the Works.
If existing piles found on site obstructs the earthworks in any way,
the piles to be cut to the required excavation levels.

The Contractor shall make good any damage under this Clause, due to any
cause within his control, or pay any costs and charges in connection
therewith. In cases where the services are to be temporarily terminated or
diverted, the Contractor shall give necessary notices to appropriate
Authorities, arrange for the work to be carried out and pay all charges in
connection therewith. All costs associated to such works shall be deemed to
have been included in the Contract Sum. Charges for relocation of utility
services shall be borne by Employer.
Outside of Sub-Station Compound
The Site Clearing outside of the sub-station compound involves in demolishing
the existing drainage system and to remove the existing access road
pavement to subgrade level. Drainage at locations as per drawing:
PLS120064-AST-C-G-CR-P-01 to be demolished and filled to match existing
ground levels prior to the construction of road embankment.
The earthworks outside of Sub-station compound involves in the construction
of embankment for the new Access Road to the Astana 132kV Substation
Establishment. The Contractor to allow imported approved earth fill for the
formation of Access Road embankment. All embankment slopes shall be
constructed to 1:2 gradient. Spot turfing to be planted on the embankment
slopes immediately after the embankment slopes construction is complete.
B. Sejingkat 132kV Substation Extension
The extension works shall be within the existing Sejingkat 132kV Substation
compound and the construction area is as indicated in the Sejingkat 132kV
Substation Site Layout Plan. Site will be available upon award of tender. The
earthwork for the extension work for Sejingkat 132kV Substation shall consist
of stripping off the existing gravel topping and excavation works for affected
area of foundation and cable trench to a temporary storage area agreed by
the ER and topping up with suitable earth fill where necessary. New gravel
topping shall be laid over the disturbed switchyard area. The existing platform
level of the Sejingkat 132kV substation site will be maintained for the project.
No temporary structures (site office, storage yard, fabrication yard, etc) shall
be erected within the compound of the existing live substation except for
structures used for barricading and elevation platforms. All temporary
structures shall be erected outside the fence of the existing substation with a
single point of temporary access into the construction area within the existing
live substation.
Drawings
All drawings submitted shall be prepared to relevant ISO standards using CAD
software suitable for ultimate archiving in the specified file format.
All drawings shall be drawn to scale, fully detailed, dimensioned, maximum
size A1, in English language and to SI units.
All drawings prepared by the Contractor shall be provided with a title block
which includes Contract reference, project tile, drawing title, serial number,

date submitted for approval, date returned for correction, date received for
construction, date of final drawings submitted, scale, revision no., revision
remarks and the particulars of Employer, Employers Representative and the
Contractor. In addition, an employers numbering may be included. The title
block and system of serial numbering shall be approved by Engineer. All
construction drawings shall be endorsed by Contractor and Professional
Engineers.
Each architectural, civil and structural, building M&E drawings shall be clearly
stamped to indicate the applicable status; i.e. For Proposal,For
Information, Submission, and As-Built.
The Contractor is required to submit five (5) sets of As-Built drawings and its
softcopy in AutoCAD 2000 format at the end of project. Employer shall review
and approve before the issuance of Certificate of Provisional Taking Over.
Piling and Substructure
A. Astana 132kV Substation Establishment
The piling works for Astana 132kV Substation shall cover the following:

The Contractor also to allow for test piles at two locations instructed by the
E.R. These two test piles will also be used for Dynamic Load Test. If the test
piles failed the load test, the Contractor to amend the design of the affected
foundation and to be approved by E.R.
The maximum allowable working load for R.C. pile size 200mm x 200mm shall
be 30 tons. Cost for monitoring the capacity of working piles shall be allowed
in the Tender Sum. Test pile shall be conducted prior to start of piling activity.
Location of test pile are subjected to ERs approval.
The estimated depth of pile driving is 3 length of 6m each including the initial
pile. The piling length quantity is provisional and subjected to final remeasurement.
The Contractor to submit the method statement for piling works prior to the
commencement of the Works for E.R.s approval.
B. Sejingkat 132kV Substation Extension
The piling works for Sejingkat 132kV Substation shall cover the following:
1. 132kV switchyard (outdoor foundations, cable trenches,etc);
2. R.C. drains, sumps, and culverts
3. Other structures deem necessary inside the Sejingkat 132kV Substation
compound
Static Load Test shall be carried out up to twice the specified working loads
(50 tons). The loading records shall be jointly taken by the Engineer and the
Contractor. The Contractor shall submit full records including graphs (Loadtime-settlement, load-settlement curve, records etc) in duplicate to the
Engineer within three (3) days after completion of the test. This test pile(s)
shall not be used as actual working pile.
Dynamic Load Tests shall include mobilization, testing, preparation of test
report by Professional Engineer; and shall be carried out under Engineers
instruction.
The Contractor also to allow for test piles at a location instructed by the E.R.
These test pile will also be used for Dynamic Load Test. If the test piles failed
the load test, the Contractor to amend the design of the affected foundation
and to be approved by E.R.

Miscellaneous Structures
A. Astana 132kV Substation Establishment
All structural steel structures shall be designed to requirements of BS5493 for
exterior exposed polluted coastal. Structural steel members shall be sand
blasted (to SA 2) before carrying out painting as below:2-component inorganic zinc silicate primer 75 micron DFT
2-component polyamide cured epoxy with natural micaceous iron oxide 100
micron DFT
2-componenet polyamide epoxy enamel paint 40 micron DFT
Roof, gutter, fascia and flashing materials shall be of Bluescope Clean
Colorbond steel or its equivalent with same material as roofing material.
Gutters (supports to be hot-dipped galvanised iron) shall be exposed for all
buildings. Eaves ceiling shall be of Colourbond metal cladding. Down Pipes
shall be of uPVC material.
External SESCO signage (size of 1000x1000mm) and naming of buildings
(minimum plate height of 500mm) and all rooms (minimum size of plate is
125mm x 600mm) shall be provided for all the new buildings/rooms. Signage
and naming plates shall be made of stainless steel material.
132kV GIS cum Control Building
A. Astana 132kV Substation Establishment
The 132kV Control and GIS Building shall be a two storey structure of size
minimum (walled up) plan dimension of minimum 23.0m x 11.0m and 18.4m x
13.0m respectively as indicated in the tender drawing but including the
loading bay.
The 132kV Control Building shall be designed and constructed (ground and
first floors) sufficiently to accommodate the Scada, Communication, Control &
Relay panels, Battery room, AC/DC room, toilets and Cable Compartment (Min.
clear height to soffit of beam is 2m) and 1 st floor height is a minimum of 4.5 m
to ceiling and roof beams for the control building and a minimum of 11.5m
from first floor to the soffit of the roof eave at 132kV GIS room. Number and
size of glass windows for ground and 1 st floor will be provided is subject to ER
agreement & relevant Local Authorities approval. Ground floor is to be
provided with fixed glass window and glass blocks as indicated in the tender
drawing. All openings (inclusive of windows, ventilation & exhaust fans)
greater than 250mm2 to be provided with galvanised steel grills. Cable
compartment should be sufficient size to accommodate the full substation
requirement. Sketches provided are indicative only, final arrangement
proposed by Tenderer shall be subject to ERs approval.
Unloading balconies of 1.8 m wide as indicated in drawings and to Bomba
requirement shall be provided at the first floor of all the Control and GIS
Buildings. Railings shall be provided for all balconies and main entrance

platform and fabricated with 50mm dia. stainless steel (min. 3 horizontal
rows). Roller shutter doors with minimum dimension of 2.5 m x 3 m at Control
building and for equipment access shall be provided. Reinforced concrete
perimeter drains (with piles support) and fully covered with hot-dipped
galvanised steel grating shall be provided. Polysept septic tank with
connection to outlet, RC sump shall be provided.
Suitable safe access shall be provided to enable operation and maintenance
to be carried out without any restriction.
Toilet with wash hand basin and shower shall be provided at Ground Floor of
the 132kV Control Building and a wash hand basin and floor trap shall be
provided in the Battery room.
The GIS Building shall be designed & constructed to accommodate the
proposed GIS Electrical Equipments, and its functional accessories & parts.
Typical section & design of the GIS Building shall be as per Tender Drawings
and to the minimum GIS Building requirements.
The ground floor of the GIS building shall be a cable compartment with
minimum clear height of 2m and of reinforced concrete structure. First floor is
to accommodate the GIS equipments whereby the superstructure consisting of
columns, tie beams, roof rafter shall be of steel structures members. First floor
wall shall be of minimum 115mm thick brick wall with aluminium louvers,
windows and glass blocks (all with r.c. ledge) for ventilation and natural light
inlet purposes. Meanwhile, wall between GIS room and Control & relay room
shall be of 230 mm thick brick wall plastered and paint finishes. The height
clearance from the bottom of cranes hook to the top of the highest GIS
equipment shall be of the height of that equipment plus a clearance of 1m,
and subjected to a minimum 3.50m. The minimum clearance for the floor
maintenance access inside the GIS room shall be minimum of 3m wide x 2m
height for both front and rear side and 3m wide at both end of the building as
indicated in the first floor plan drawing. A loading/unloading bay of 6m wide
and with double leaf rollers shutters of minimum size of 4000mmx5000mm to
accommodate for truck access shall be provided as indicated in the drawing.
A new full standard set of motorized 10-ton (or minimum 1.2 times the
maximum weight of the switchgear equipment, whichever larger)
travelling Overhead Crane shall be provided and installed inside the GIS
building for lifting of GIS electrical equipments. Hot dipped galvanized steel
cat ladder access with safety loop, 1m wide walking platform and stainless
steel handrails on both side of the crane girder shall be provided for
maintenance purposes. The propose type of Overhead Crane set is subjected
to ERs agreement. Contractor shall be responsible to obtain necessary permit
from authorities (DOSH) for the installed overhead crane.

Reinforced concrete Transformer bases and bund wall with 16-40 mm single
size of limestone filling shall be laid within the bund wall area. Reinforced
concrete Oil Interceptor, R.C. sumps (at every 6m interval and junction) and
discharged pipes (HDPE pipe of minimum diameter of 150mm) shall be
provided for Transformers compounds as per detail in the tender drawing.
B. Sejingkat 132kV Substation Extension
The Contractor to construct Outdoor Foundations for CSE, SA, CVT,
Gantry, CT, PI, Circuit Breaker, Disconnector Switch, 800mm width
cable trenches. The final Outdoor Foundation sizes is subjected to the
specifications of the Outdoor Equipment supplied by the Contractor. The
Contractor to submit their proposed Outdoor Equipment Specifications to the
E.R. and E.R. will amend the design to suit the proposed Outdoor Equipment
Specifications if necessary. The Employer also may request additional Outdoor
Equipment for the Switchyard. The Contractor to consider these circumstances
in the Work Programme. The material quantities for the Outdoor Foundations,
and cable trenches are all provisional. Therefore, the final quantities of
these works are subjected to final remeasurement.
In general, the outdoor foundation and cable trenches network shall be
provided generally as indicated in the Site Layout drawing. The outdoor
foundations for the 132 kV Transformer & Switchyard area shall include
foundations works. Outdoor foundations shall be supported by R.C. piles &
piled to set. Dimension of R.C. Structures and size of rebars as specified in the
drawing are the minimum requirements for the said works.
Complete cable trenches suitable for full 132 kV feeder and outgoing bays
shall be provided. For 132kV equipments, reinforced concrete cable trenches
shall be provided for all the control and power cables inside the substation
compound. The complete layout of the Cable Trenches shall be provided as
per tender drawings and to ERs agreement.
Cable trenches shall not be used as drainage channels. Cable trenches shall
be fitted with covers. This tender shall include the replacement of any covers
lost, missing or damage from the existing cable trenches.
Cable trench shall be of concrete with high yield steel reinforced bars
construction with bottoms laid to falls and drained at regular points along their
whole lengths.
Trench covers shall be galvanised steel lined sides reinforced light weight
chamfers concrete slabs suitable for the general area loading (Design to
minimum 120kg point load at centre of slab). The RC covers shall be provided
with lifting points.
Removable RC road crossing trench covers shall be cast with hot-dipped
galvanised angle member frame to protect the edges. These RC covers shall
be provided with lifting points. Edges of trenches recess at road crossing
should be protected with galvanised angles.
Adequate 160 mm minimum diameter HDPE ducting (encased in reinforced
concrete) for 132kV cable at road/fencing/cable trenches crossings and entry
into/from buildings shall be provided as shown in the drawings.

Roads
A. Astana 132kV Substation Establishment
Within the Sub-station Compound
The Service and Maintenance Road network is as shown in Tender Drawings.
All Service Roads shall be premix road and the maintenance road shall be
gravel road.
All premix roads shall be minimum width of 6 meter with precast concrete
road kerbs and r.c drains on both sides of road and with 100 mm thick
(compacted) premix bitumen surfaces. The compacted sub-grade shall be laid
with a layer of geotextile (TS20). Typical section and detail of the Access Road
and it drainage system are as shown in the tender drawings.
All gravel roads surface shall be minimum width of 4m and consists of 150mm
thick 38mm DCR Gravel with crushed rock chippings.
Any existing roads damaged by construction activities under this Contract
shall be made good to specifications and ER requirements. Contractor shall
reinstate and maintain any damages imposed onto the existing road used for
construction work. All finished road levels for any reinstatement of roadwork
are to match the existing access roads finished road level.
Contractor shall be responsible for the provision of temporary access for
construction purposes only. Usage of existing roads and facilities for
construction access shall not be permitted without prior written approval from
the ER, Contractor shall also make good to the satisfaction of the ER any
existing facilities affected by works under this Contract.
Outside of Sub-station Compound
Access Road to the Substation connecting from the existing road to be
constructed strictly following the geometric design shown in the Tender
Drawings.
All premix roads shall be minimum width of 6 meter with r.c cascading drains
on both sides of road and with 100 mm thick (compacted) premix bitumen
surfaces. The compacted sub-grade shall be laid with a layer of geotextile
(TS20). Typical section and detail of the Access Road and its drainage system
are as shown in the tender drawings.

Water Supply
A. Astana 132kV Substation Establishment
The Water Supply Network is as per drawing:PLS120064-AST-C-G-CE-P-02.
Other than pipes, fittings and its ancillary works, the Contractor is required to
supply approved 450L Water Supply PE Tank and construct its r.c. platform as
per drawings.
The Tenderer shall include in his Tender Sum the cost for water supply which
include application, connection, testing, jointing and complete laying of
approved water pipes and appurtenances from the nearest Kuching Water
Boards water main to proposed building. Capital contribution, collateral and
meter fees will be payable by the Employer.
The Contractor is required to execute the connection works using methods
which will not disrupt the water supply at the surrounding area. The method
statement for connection works to be submitted at the same time of tender
submission.
Wastewater
A. Astana 132kV Substation Establishment
A wastewater system is to be constructed for the Substation Outdoor
Switchyard and GIS/Control Building. The Ecosept septic tank with connection
to outlet, R.C. sump if required, shall be provided for Control Buildings.
Reinforced Concrete sumps connected to the Oil Interceptor with 160mm
HDPE pipes to be provided for the 132kV Transformer. Treatment and
discharge facilities for oily wastewater shall be provided by the Contractor.
Surface and Sub-surface Drainage
A. Astana 132kV Substation Establishment
Within Sub-station Compound
The overall drainage system consists of 450mm covered drain, 450mm box
culvert, 600 mm r.c. open drain, r.c. sumps, sub-surface drainage for Outdoor
Switchyard and 150mm D.I. pipe for runoff discharge of the cable trenches.
The proposed invert level and gradient of the drainage as stated in the
drawings shall be strictly followed unless instructed otherwise by the E.R.
Covered R.C. drains shall be provided around perimeter of Control Buildings
and substation compound as indicated and other location deemed necessary
for proper discharge of runoff. Discharge of UPVC rain water down pipes from
Control Buildings shall be channeled to perimeter R.C. drain.
The Contractor shall maintain, and keep all drains, streams and waterways
free from mud, silt and any other obstructions and make good where
necessary. All existing streams, rivers and waterways are not to be polluted in
any way during the carrying out of the works and the Contractor will be held
solely responsible for any compliant, damage or claim (inclusive of making

good) in this connection. The Contractor shall construct (as required) and
maintain suitable silt traps to contained mud, silt and any other debris arising
from the construction works. Silt trap location shall be approved by the
Engineer.
Unless otherwise specified, all R.C. open drains within the fenced area of
substation compound shall be provided with continuous hot-dipped galvanized
steel grating covers (designed to support 200kg axle load) adequately fixed to
the sides of the drain. Minimum main reinforcement bars for the covered R.C.
drains are as per tender drawings.
R.C. crossover shall be provided at the loading bay entrance of the GIS/Control
Building or where deem necessary as indicated in the tender drawing. The
actual size and length required for drains, r.c crossover and culverts may vary.
Drains, r.c crossover and culverts shall be constructed as per approved
Engineering Plan.
R.C sumps with grating shall be provided at locations as per drawing:
PLS120064-AST-C-G-CR-P-01. R.C. sumps located at the entrance gate of the
substation to be provided with anti-intrusion security grill.
Outside of Sub-station Compound
Drainage system at locations as per indicated in the drawings shall be
demolished and rebuild to suit the new sub-station infrastructure
requirements. Existing Drain affected by the Access Road Construction shall
be demolished and filled and diverted with new drains. All of the run-off from
the new drainage to be discharged to the existing discharge point. Rip-rap is
required as a transition between the concrete drain and the existing earth
drain. Minimum main reinforcement bars for the covered R.C. drains are as per
tender drawings.
B. Sejingkat 132kV Substation Extension
The Contractor is required to construct 450mm covered roadside drain,
450mm box culvert and r.c sumps and to be connected to the existing
drainage system. The final invert levels of the proposed drainage to suit the
existing site drainage invert levels.
Unless otherwise specified, all R.C. open drains within the fenced area of
substation compound shall be provided with continuous hot-dipped galvanized
steel grating covers (designed to support 200kg axle load) adequately fixed to
the sides of the drain.
Fencing and Gates
A. Astana 132kV Substation Establishment
The permanent security brick wall fencing and chainlink fencing shall be
provided around the perimeter of the substation at as shown in the drawing or
to ER instruction. The existing barb wire on the existing brick fencing to be
removed. The fencing shall be on 115 mm thick brickwall cement plaster and
paint finish on bothside. The permanent security brick wall fencing shall be
complete with necessary R.C. stumps, beam, retaining walls and footings and

mounted with steel bar at the top of the brick wall as shown in Tender
Drawings.
The stainless steel sliding gate with reinforced concrete pillar and brick wall
for the substation entrances shall be provided as shown in the tender drawing.
Adequate size of signage (SEB logo and substation name of 600 mm height)
shall be printed on these brickwall fencing at the proposed entrance.
Painting for Building and Main Entrance Structure
A warranty of the paint quality from paint manufacturer (Nippon, Kansai or
equivalent) shall be provided.
Standards of surface preparation and painting for building exterior shall
provide service life of minimum five (5) years, with only the need for minor
remedial work during the intervening period. Building interior shall be coated
with mid sheen washable acrylic based paint.
Infrastructure Works Outside Project Boundary
The Tender Sum shall include all infrastructure works outside project boundary
which includes but not limited to drainage, r.c cross over, pavement,
pavement markings, traffics signage, road furniture, footpath, top soil and
turf, landscaping, making good of existing facilities and others deemed
required to comply with requirements, satisfaction and approval of authorities.
All permanent traffics signage shall be of high intensity retro-reflective
including posts with concrete infill, painting, concrete footings and etc.,
excluding those temporary signs used for temporary traffic diversion.
Thermoplastic road marking and lane delineation marking shall be used.
Relocation of Affected Existing Utility and Services
Contractor is responsible to make his own enquiry and coordinate with
relevant utility provider for relocation of affected existing utilities and services,
either overhead or underground or both or on the surface, and private
properties. All cost incurred in the process including damage and claim in this
connection except shifting fee, shall be borne by Contractor and is deemed to
have been included in Tender Sum.
Survey Technician and Main Equipment Supervisor
The Contractor is to note that it is mandatory that setting-out of main grid
lines of outdoor foundations reference and control pegs shall be carried out by
an experience and qualified survey technician; and checking of anchor bolts
setting-out shall be carried out by Main Equipments supervisor by using
survey theodolite.
