1. What requirements must you meet in order to study abroad? (i.e. GPA, etc.)
Students must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA to study abroad in the summer and a
2.75 cumulative GPA to study abroad during a semester. Students must be
standing sophomores and approved by the Office of International Programs at A&T.
2. What are the three (3) different types of study abroad programs available to
students?
Exchange
Direct Study Abroad
Faculty
3. What are the deadlines for applying for study abroad?
Spring Deadline is October 14th
Summer Deadline is March 15th
Fall Deadline is March 15th
4. What are three different ways that you can raise money to fund your trip?
Financial Aid
Fellowships
Scholarships
5. Name two (2) scholarships that can fund you for your trip and how you meet the
requirements?
American Institute for Foreign Study NAFEO Scholarship: for Students who attend
an HBCU or PBI
Bridging Scholarships for Study in Japan: I am an U.S undergraduate student.
6. Where would you like to travel to for your study abroad experience and why?
I would like to travel to Japan because it now holds the most production and
manufacturing companies in the world.
