Anode Heel Effect: The anode heel effect is a process that happens when the electrons hit the
back angle of the anode, absorbing, and making it a less strong electron beam on the anode
side than the cathode side due to the absorption.
-the bigger the angle, the less heel effect occurs
-beam is shorter distance from object, the greater the resolution
-caused by line-focus
-most electrons emitted between 45 and 90 degree angles
Line Focus Principle: The line focus principle is a principle used to reduce the effective area of
the focal spot. The relationship between the angle of the anode and the focal spot is directly
proportional.
