The document provides instructions for setting and pulling Parmaco Hookwall set down packers. It describes that the packer is run with the neoprene element at the top and sets downward due to tubing weight. To set, turn the tubing half a turn counter-clockwise and lower to engage the slips and expand the neoprene seal. To pull, simply pull the tubing and retrieve the packer. It cautions removing wiring from the slips before running and pulling soon after acidizing to prevent corrosion.

ORIENTATION AND USE This packer is run with the neoprene element at the top of the packer. The packer sets in a downward movement due to the weight of the tubing. It is suitable for setting in open hole or casing. RUNNING AND SETTING INSTRUCTIONS While running packer in the hole, take care not to turn the packer. The last move of the packer before starting the setting operation must be upward approximately one foot. The packer is set by turning one half turn to the left (counter clockwise looking down) then lower to engage the slips and neoprene. The weight of the tubing causes the slips to wedge against the wall and expands the neoprene to affect the seal. PULLING INSTRUCTIONS Pull tubing and retrieve packer. No preparatory steps are required. PRECAUTIONS In the event a packer is to be used in acidizing a well, care should be taken to pull the packer after acidizing in order to prevent the seizing of packer components due to corrosive action. Otherwise, difficulty could be encountered later in pulling the packer. IMPORTANT
